Interviewed 11/13 and still not heard anything back... Anyone else who interviewed 11/13 in the same boat? its like they skipped the day haha. 11/11 have posted as well as 11/25

Congrats for the acceptances! For the rest of us pre-II keep your head up and keep track of the website, they offer reapplicant appointments, they are pretty helpful! Don’t get discouraged! From my source, cycle is mostly done 4~5 meetings left! People who applied late are in the endgame right now! Advice directly from mentor: people with the stats and really want to go to wayne, do EDP!

do you think applicants interviewing in Jan are at a disadvantage?

Congratulations to everybody who got the A today! I know this is off topic, but does it seem like they are close to being done, if not already done, with sending IIs this cycle?

so is Wayne finished sending out IIs? If I submitted my secondary early Aug, should probably book one of those appointments?

no, i wouldn't get ur hopes up just yet. they recently updated the tracker with more IIs so I'm assuming they're sending those out early Jan or late Dec for their last few dates.

Where do we sign up for these reapplicant appointments? 😮

Do you guys think there will be more As this month?
While I can't be sure, at my interview they said that the committee meets every other week. Their last meeting was on Thursday, Dec. 3rd, so they will meet again on the 18th (according to the admissions office representative that we spoke to on interview day). I received my acceptance on Monday and had just interviewed on Dec. 2nd (so they must have decided on my app at their meeting on the 3rd), meaning that the decisions made in their committee meeting are released just days after their meeting. So, I would expect that there will still be some acceptances sent out prior to the end of the month, probably directly before the holidays. Hope that this helps!

so i was reading last year's thread and found out majority of people who interviewed after new year received WL for admissions to have more time to review applications. does anyone know if Wayne will do this for this year as well? I know they are a bit delayed overall, but was wondering if automatic WL post-new year has been a thing always for wayne

you didnt see a single person get an A after interview after the new year?

i know SDN represents super tiny portion of applicants, but yea. I saw one person who got accepted after their feb interview, but it seemed like +90% of applicants who interviewed in Jan-Feb essentially got waitlisted. A Wayne student also confirmed that admissions were planning to do so because they needed more time to review apps...unsure tho because people who interviewed on 12/02 for this cycle already heard back (congrats btw!!!) so it seems like the admissions are pretty speedy for this cycle??? plus they want to interview more so idk :/

My understanding is that people who heard back quick (like the Dec 2nd individual) are either IS or High Stat Applicants. I interviewed 11/13 and still have not heard a single thing back about if im rejected, waitlisted or accepted . I am also a Canadian Applicant though.

Based on my neurotic state logic, the only reason I have not heard back is because i'm low in the rankings and they are going based on meritocracy. Or they have not decided on the waitlist for November applicants yet because I don't think I have seen anyone that has been waitlisted yet from November.
Or worst case.... let's hope its not the worst case 😀

I hope you hear back soon with good news! Wayne apparently tends to have a huge waitlist movement, so I hope we all end up receiving some love from waynee

Random question but has anyone emailed admissions lately (for any reason) and have they replied lol? Do they take a while to respond to emails?

Oof I hope they don't start doing this to people who interviewed in late November/ early December +pity+

So should us non-II start packing it up by now? I survived a few pre-II Rs but I can't help but think it's getting to be too late...

I'm wondering the same....they've also been giving our pre-II Rs so note sure what to make of the situation

Unfortunately, yep :/. Consider it a soft rejection and prepare for reapplication! Better be prepared by February/march than to wait for an official rejection! Wayne State holds applications till a massive rejection wave in mid-feb. Cross your fingers but better to forget about it for now! If you’ve applied late, you are still in this!
