@squashgame i also interviewed 10/4 and my portal hasn't updated. this kinda sucks. hear anything back today?

i interviewed late september and my portal says they still have not completed the final review of my interview report :/

i was personally advised just to let them make the decision on their own time but it definitely sucks
 
so I've been complete since early July. No status change or scoring at all since submission. I emailed admissions to make sure there was no transmission error and they told me "Your application is awaiting to be reviewed; we will notify you once your status changes".

How could it be 11/4 and I haven't been reviewed since submitting in July??

As far as I know, Miami is a huge mystery when it comes to the application process. I wouldn't sweat until maybe January

Hello everybody! I have never posted on Sdn before, but I am super excited to probably be going to Miller next year! I interviewed 9/24 and was accepted 10/15 into the MD program (earlier than I anticipated to hear anything). UMiami has been one of my top for a long time and I am so ecstatic 🙂) Best of luck to everyone here regardless of whatever status you hold in this process!! Is there a groupme so far of accepts?

I was wondering if anyone who has already interviewed at Miami had any tips on how to prepare for the behavioral interview? Is it kind of like an MMI with ethical-based scenarios or something else? Congrats to everyone who got the A and to everyone else, we got this!! Thanks, everyone!
 
I finally got scored today!! really excited for it since I completed 10/14 for MD and 10/28 ish for MD/MPH.

edit: n=1 but maybe this will help future applicants figure out how this works, here's how my late submit timeline looks like

Submitted secondary/completed: 10/14
"Application complete and currently reviewed" green text status change: 10/21
Fully scored: 11/8

It has the same ethical type of questions as an MMI but it’s conversational and not structured like an MMI. For me it helped to look at the ethical/situational questions on the SDN interview page for Miami and in Dr. Gray’s interview prep book.

Took me a little over 3 weeks from complete to scored this week. I've looked through previous threads and it can be random. Some people submit early and go from scored to II within days late in the cycle, others get scored quick and seem to never hear back. Just gotta keep waiting it out and seeing how it goes!

And from what I've seen, some people are never scored and get IIs and others get scored and eventually get an R. Miami is a mystery but what's new!

Can't say for sure but I don't think it'll break you. I was accepted here this cycle with a CASPER score below the 50th percentile. Maybe I compensated for it in other areas? That said, it's doable. Hopefully they're just requiring it to gather data for future cycles.
 
Also curious. Haven't heard anything yet and I be stressin'
