Same here. Have been complete for 2+ months and haven’t even been scored yet :/Has anyone gotten any recent II? It's been radio silence on my end for months.
I think IIs come after the A's so we should see more come up the next few days or so! Fingers crossedHas anyone gotten any recent II? It's been radio silence on my end for months.
Hopefully soon! I feel like there hasn’t been a II reported in a suspiciously long timeI think IIs come after the A's so we should see more come up the next few days or so! Fingers crossed
Hi! When did you receive the initial II?How long did it take to hear back about an interview date after requesting your preferred dates? It's been several days for me and I just wanted to make sure that's normal b/c I saw an earlier post that said it only took 2 hours. Thanks for any input!
Congratulations! when did you submit your application?Hey everyone. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and best wishes to everyone still waiting. I recently got an interview invite for both MD and MD/MPH. I was wondering if anyone could share their interview experience - what happens the entire day? How "chill" is it? Any tips/advice? Super nervous since this is one of my top choices.
I submitted around 8/20!Congratulations! when did you submit your application?
Yo that's awesome!! Similar complete time here, do you mind sharing stats and when you were scored if you remember?Hey all! II today!!! Complete in the earlier part of October! Absolutely ecstatic!!! There were dates starting in early December for those wondering!
LM ~67 URM. I checked yesterday to see that I had been scored, and I had checked last about two weeks ago, so sometime within that time frame, it occurred. I hope that this is helpful!Yo that's awesome!! Similar complete time here, do you mind sharing stats and when you were scored if you remember?
What does the status say exactly when you've been scored?LM ~67 URM. I checked yesterday to see that I had been scored, and I had checked last about two weeks ago, so sometime within that time frame, it occurred. I hope that this is helpful!
“Your application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Applicants will be invited to interview based upon their evaluation score from the Admissions Committee review. You will be contacted by email if you are selected for an interview. Interview invitations are extended between August and March.”What does the status say exactly when you've been scored?

+1 and will be asking for a refund on my secondary if this status does not change by end of the cycle 😴🤣Complete mid-July, still under review and not scored =/
Scoring essentially means your app has been reviewed. I believe the status at the bottom of your portal changes to: “Your application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Applicants will be invited to interview based upon their evaluation score from the Admissions Committee review. You will be contacted by email if you are selected for an interview. Interview invitations are extended between August and March.”What does scoring mean and how do you know if you've been scored?
UM is my top choice so I've looked into this a bit but basically your status changes to what was posted above when you're fully scored by 3 reviewers. I believe everyone's application is looked at and 'scored' but not everyone makes it through all 3 reviewers hence why the status doesn't change. Getting scored doesn't guarantee an II if you don't score high enough. However, you can still get scored at any point in time throughout the cycle and get an II immediately after. Some people are scored one day and offered II the next, some don't even know they're scored before getting an II.What does scoring mean and how do you know if you've been scored?

I found this picture from an old thread and it might be a tad outdated but it gives an idea of how it worksView attachment 346073
this is a pretty old picture so i don't know if it reflects CASPer, it was from maybe 6-7 years agoInteresting!
What about CASPer? Is it not considered as part of scoring?
Very interesting. It's basically implying that they use some cutoff involving the 120 potential points below the line to determine whether or not you go to the reviewers to be scored. After all, if the reviewers are supposed to be independent, then scores from one should not determine whether or not a file moves on to the next.UM is my top choice so I've looked into this a bit but basically your status changes to what was posted above when you're fully scored by 3 reviewers. In one of the older UM threads so one posted that the rating is based on the selectivity of the undergrad school. UM fell into the most selective category.Among other things, it shows that "quality" of UG can provide up to a 10% bump. I wonder what score they assign their own UG.
Talk about home team bias! I always through the "M" in HYPSM was for MIT, not Miami! In one of the older UM threads so one posted that the rating is based on the selectivity of the undergrad school. UM fell into the most selective category.
Yeah. It definitely sounded like a balance of factor in UG but don't disadvantage UM students.Talk about home team bias! I always through the "M" in HYPSM was for MIT, not Miami!![]()
you can email I thinkDoes Miami accept pre-II updates? Would I just email it since theres not a place on the portal?
Congrats! When were you complete (along with LORs, CASPer and everything else)?II Earlier today! Super excited! The earliest dates available were early December. LM 77
Do they score applicants all applicants in chronological order? Or do they auto-stratify on some grounds and then score them?this is a pretty old picture so i don't know if it reflects CASPer, it was from maybe 6-7 years ago
When you get set up on The Hub app, they have a list of notification dates! The committee meets twice a month (except in Dec) and we were told the earliest we could hear back is about a month after my interview date, so my guess is you could hear back sometime in Jan at the earliestI managed to snag an interview on December 10th, do we know how long the turn around is for post II decisions?
Thanks! My secondary was complete 09/17 and my CASPER results were transmitted in late September. LM 77 and 4th quartile CASPERCongrats! When were you complete (along with LORs, CASPer and everything else)?
+1 but complete early July. Admissions will send you back a scripted response and not care at all to provide any information into why our apps haven't been reviewed yetHey peeps, I was complete in early August but my secondary still says "currently under review by the admissions committee" and has not changed to any other stages. Are other people in this situation as well or should I reach out to Miami to see if something is missing with my application somehow?
I just sent my thank you to the admissions email. Received a generic reply back indicating they “saved” the email I sent.Did anyone send thank you letters here? I forgot to ask for my interviewers' information, and I saw that last year some just emailed the admissions email. Is that still where it should be sent?
