9/20 interview! I just noticed it this week but it also could changed to that earlier and I didn’t notice
 
Mine is updated as well, interviewed late September. Super excited to hear back!
 
I checked my portal yesterday and for the MD-MPH track I received a message stating that I was scored. After checking the portal again this morning the message reverted back to saying, "Your application is currently being reviewed by the Admissions Committee." .....I


Did this happen to anyone else?

Not sure if I’ve been scored but I’m also MD-MPH track and have the currently reviewed message - I checked yesterday as well. May be a system thing and they probably did score you!

Not all applications get chosen to be scored, if an application is chosen and scored then I believe it will be updated that it was scored on the portal website, and then again just because your application is scored does not guarantee an interview

the scoring of each chosen app is done by two members of the adcom, if those two people give you a high enough score they will extend an interview invitation

What does this mean "not all applications get chosen to be scored"? Do they just choose not to look at some applications??

I'm still at the "reviewed a final time" in the portal and we interviewed the same day. Still crossing my fingers for a call this afternoon. Good luck!
 
Hi! Can someone confirm that interviews are virtual and not in-person? The scheduler was a bit confusing. Also, how soon do they let you know your exact interview date since you have to rank them? Wanting to know so I can take PTO in advance 🙂

Yes, virtual and they will send you an email probably within a few days after you rank them.

from my understanding i think all applications get a cursory glance, but out of the 5000+ apps they receive they certainly don't score them all

I’m not sure anyone has responded to you yet but I just noticed this question since I’m one of many who are anxiously watching this thread LOL

Honestly I loved that they separated the behavioral and experiential interviews. It sometimes feels like there isn’t enough time to talk about ~everything~ but you don’t have to worry about that with UMiami. The Adcom team was super kind and explained everything (including what to expect on next steps) very well.

If you’re interviewing soon, good luck!!

Thanks for sharing this! When you say they separated both interviews, are there a total of two interviews or do you mean the questions are separated? Just scheduled mine today and haven't received many details.

Two different interviews. They will send you a schedule with the names of the two interviewers the night before. You won't know who is doing the behavioral and who is doing the experiential ahead of time, though.

True. Was just using it as an arbitrary category. I’m URM too and have been scored since early August (complete mid July) and nothing.

Based on other’s posts, I don’t think there’s an email. I check the portal when I remember (every few weeks) but no change yet.
 
Has anybody besides the Indian mamba gotten an A? Only 1 reported A yesterday and none so far today is strange. I'm trying to decide how to feel.
 
My status just changed after about a week. Went from "Your Application is currently under review by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine." to being green and says "Your Application to the UM Miller School of Medicine is complete and is currently being reviewed by the Admissions Committee." This isn't the scored message right?
 
Does anyone think miami will actually let us know if we are just on their waiting list? My portal says to contact the admissions office if I don't hear a decision within the week, but it would be inappropriate to reach out right?
 
Hey guys, I submitted my secondary 7/22. I can't remember when I was scored, but I've been scored for a while now. I haven't heard back. Is anyone in the same boat? Went to UM for undergrad, strong ties, URM, 4th quartile Casper, and 77 LizzyM score.
 
interviewed in september and my portal says that my app and interview report still needs to reviewed 0.0
 
I was complete back in July then i got an email in early August saying they lost my secondary and I had to resubmit it. Haven’t been scored since or heard anything else so i dont even know what to expect at this point

Mine changed to that monday when they sent the oct 4th interviewers the big tease photo of us all throwing up the U. Says if nobody from the adcom notifies us of decision within the week to call or email them about it. Maybe yours also changed around then.
