2021-2022 Minnesota, Twin Cities

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I misspoke about this earlier, sorry! I believe all calls are coming from admissions. If Dimple Patel is making the calls like last year, she has a 312 area code.
Thanks for your correction! I shall now save myself from a heart attack

I just received an II! Very unexpected this late in the cycle but welcomed. There were only two dates available in early March. I am unsure if those are the last interview slots or if applicants are only offered 2 potential dates. Regardless, IIs are still coming out!
Congrats! Glad to hear they are still sending out IIs! Do you mind sharing when your application was complete?

Accepted via phone call today at 4:30pm, over 15 weeks after interview for those who are still waiting! Good luck to everyone, you are all incredible and inspiring 🙂
You were accepted to Duluth, as well, right? Where do you think you’ll end up going?

Congrats! What was your interview date? I'm guessing early November?

Judging on Minnesota’s pattern, there might be a wave of decisions for late November / early December interviewers as early as Thursday/Friday. Otherwise, next week for sure!

anyone who has interviewed recently know how many ppl have been accepted?

Anyone know when we will hear if we are on the ranked alternate list, accepted, or rejected from the waitlist? I know the email said they would start looking at candidates again in March, but was wondering if anyone had clearer dates from last year

Last year they started directly accepting and rejecting people from the WL in mid-May. They didn't create the ranked alternate list until mid-June. Unfortunately, the timeline this year has looked pretty similar to last year, but I'm hoping they can speed it up for you guys.

Can any current student speak to when accepted students should expect to hear about their financial aid offers (both need-based and merit-based recruitment scholarships)?

Merit-based scholarships are rolling. I would assume that most of them have been offered already (there are only a small number available), but they will continue to come out as folks decline their UMN acceptance.

Need-based scholarships come out as part of the overall financial aid package. Last year, financial aid estimates were sent to everyone on April 5.

Thank you for the info!

Congratulations to those accepted in November! They released acceptances on February 18th, and exactly 2 weeks later, March 4th with Rs and WLs every week in between. So, for early December it looks like they'll likely release some Rs or WLs next week, and acceptance decisions the week after on March 18th.
