Sorry to burst our bubbles, but I don't think it's 10% 😭.... it's probably much lower...1) this webinar is a joke. Grossman had it for accepted students while they’re hosting it for applicants. This is just dangling a prize probably 10% of us will have a chance of getting if that.
2) they must be really worried about retention to be doing it at this time
3) transparency is a joke
4) they keep using the words “should they qualify” which is extremely vague and essentially useless
5) doing this a week before decisions come out is really just off putting
Yes, this is 100% turn off. If they are trying to attract students, this is not how you do it. You do it for the acceptees, not us applicants..5) doing this a week before decisions come out is really just off putting
Exactly lol. For those of us who chose OB-GYN or surgery, it is like 1%, if even that lmaoSorry to burst our bubbles, but I don't think it's 10% 😭.... it's probably much lower...
obgyn gang RISE UP.Exactly lol. For those of us who chose OB-GYN or surgery, it is like 1%, if even that lmao
In the q&a when you type the question you can click send anonymously!wait how do I choose that
I see it 🙂 I asked if there's time to ask general questions later cos this dude is just financial aid and I don't want to freak him outIn the q&a when you type the question you can click send anonymously!
It's a financial aid application that some of the private schools use. FAFSA 2.0 in a sense. It's a little annoying because it costs money to file.Very stupid question but what is a CSS profile lmao
Damn did I have to fill that out? This is the first I am hearing of itIt's a financial aid application that some of the private schools use. FAFSA 2.0 in a sense.
You will have to fill it out if you want to apply for scholarships for CoA beyond tuitionDamn did I have to fill that out? This is the first I am hearing of it
I submitted an anon question citing their commitment to transparency and asking when they would release decisions. They haven’t answered yet. 🙃it absolutely is. also "transparency about the application process" has me on the floor
It’s actually made me feel better about the impending rejection because I’m genuinely so frustrated rn.1) this webinar is a joke. Grossman had it for accepted students while they’re hosting it for applicants. This is just dangling a prize probably 10% of us will have a chance of getting if that.

IT COSTS MONEY TO FILE ARE YOU SERIOUSIt's a financial aid application that some of the private schools use. FAFSA 2.0 in a sense. It's a little annoying because it costs money to file.
Edit: link to CSS Profile
if MSAR data is to be believed, 14 students get offers from the waitlist, so it might be that a majority rescind their As. Alternately, many students might accept their A, but NYULISOM might cycle through a few candidates to fill a single spot.I think it definitely was in the past when NYULISOM was completely new. Ig it still is a new school that some people are very hesitant about!
oh my god. I hate it here. I hate it here.IT COSTS MONEY TO FILE ARE YOU SERIOUS
Yes, it is $25 for the first school, and $16 for each additional school you send to. I will never understand why it costs money for students to apply for loans and scholarships.IT COSTS MONEY TO FILE ARE YOU SERIOUS
late stage capitalism at its worst...Yes, it is $25 for the first school, and $16 for each additional school you send to. I will never understand why it costs money for students to apply for loans and scholarships.
No way is it equal.. Surgery has 2 spots. Internal medicine has 14 spots...Yo please stop asking about the wording of the email. I’m 99% sure only the ppl in this call have a chance for admission and it’s equal across specialities between the people in this call. Not to be a dick but please move on.
In other news I’m in disbelief at this call
Because we have a for-profit education system 🤮Yes, it is $25 for the first school, and $16 for each additional school you send to. I will never understand why it costs money for students to apply for loans and scholarships.
They answered my question! lolearly next week. y'all. by Tuesday or Wednesday.
I believe they interview lesser people for surgery than IM so the percentage of acceptance across specialties is similar but again, I don't trust the words of an admissions coordinator. No way is it equal.. Surgery has 2 spots. Internal medicine has 14 spots...
Another dean told me he reads SDN lolI wonder whether they’re reading SDN rn lol
This would have been wise. I already submitted and feel like I scammed myself lmao.I sure will be waiting after I get in before paying to file this lol
Edit: if by some miracle I get in lmao
Perfect, can't wait to be sick all day!DECISIONS OUT BY TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY
