Just placed under review today, complete 8/17! I'm new to this thread so forgive me if this is a silly question but does Tulane send "under review" notifications to every applicant before sending any decision (pre-II R, pre-II hold, or II)?

A couple of early September submitters have already gone under review based on earlier posts on the thread. While there are some August folks still waiting. My guess is it depends on the individual reviewer but I could be wrong.

My application was completed in August, so it took 2 months for me to be under review, and once i got under review, 1-2 weeks to get placed in hold for interview. Is this normal? I was shocked to to wait over 2 months for me to be under review, but i know they get a lot of apps.
Is there hope? or is this a soft rejection? (please dont be the latter lol😂 )

I don’t think any of us know what’s going on lol but I will say they have sent Pre-II R’s so since you didn’t get straight out rejected then I guess there is still some hope!

I'm surprised you've been on hold for that long! I was placed on hold for possible interview for about a week before getting an interview. So it'd def not a soft rejection I don't think. Sorry it's been so long!

No problem haha. Thank you! It was my very first interview I received so I was very excited! I interviewed 12/3 and I've heard they typically take 6-8 weeks to make a decision so I don't expect to hear from them till end of Jan/ early Feb. I was under review on 9/29 then put on hold on 10/4 and received an interview invite on 10/12 for an interview on 12/3 (which was the earliest date at the time). I've also heard their interview slots go really fast too so I wasn't surprised that Dec was the earliest interview date at the time.
