Interview first thing tomorrow. Any last minute advice folks?

OOS, ORM, non Trad. I have pretty good stats but I don't want to get lost in the ORM pile.

I LOVE this program. How do I knock this one out of the park?

Be relaxed, know your application and what values you stand for, and smile.

And send a letter of interest/intent after the interview day.

Thank you, definitely writing a letter of intent.

Hope it went ok. Had thorough answers to all of their questions and felt very conversational.

But, they seemed disappointed i wasn't bilingual. Didn't realize 80% of the entering class is...

Is there anything that shows that Boston values letters of intent after interview day? I interviewed back in Sept and was waiting for a more meaningful update before sending correspondence

Letter of intent commits you to the school so that will definitely benefit you as an applicant but if you get in you are basically contractually obligated to go to the school (less likely to give scholarship if you care ab that), but yes i think they do value this as most schools would
There is nothing contractual about a letter of intent

Has anyone received an II after submitting an update letter?

I think you're thinking of ED dog

yeah my understanding was letter of intent was mainly for if you get waitlisted, plus I also listened to the all access premed podcast about Boston where Dr goodell basically made it seem like letters prior to the end of the cycle are not really worth. But still not sure

II this morning! OOS but with family ties to area, LM 76, Complete end of August. The options for interview dates they gave me were all in early December

pre-II R complete 7/28, went to college in Boston and worked at BMC so was hoping to at least get an interview but allll good haha

Man can they just reject me already instead of making me hopeful. Does anyone have any insight, am i maybe on some kind of internal hold? Do you think an interest letter/update letter will help? I was complete 7/11
I submitted an interest letter yesterday because I am in the exact same boat. I’m hoping it helps…. It’s my second update on the portal.

Pre-II R today, 2:55pm EST 2022-11-07. Canadian applicant from Toronto.

Completion Date: Secondary submitted 8/8/2022 + Under Review 8/27/2022 (CASPer Results received)

3.98 Overall GPA, 515 MCAT, 4th quartile CASPer, Great ECs (heavy clinical employment + volunteering) but no research. Pretty bummed because I thought my overall application was pretty solid.

Sad today 🙁
