Yeah something like that, so it is 100% conceivable people did receive a prematch, just nobody on sdn. Also on average schools will only send 69 prematches in total, so most schools are not very prematch heavy.

I think most schools being careful will send out 1 email at a time and not a mass email blast. Go eat lunch & check back later!

Can some check interview portal and confirm if this is user end bug? I interviewed here late August, but interview tab shows “start interview” on the web interview tab. I did have some interviewers switched around last minute, so idk if that impacted it. The status isn’t marked “complete” like my other portals.

Anyone who interviewed in mid september or later get one? I interviewed 9/14 and didn’t receive anything yet, UTSW didn’t send me one either yesterday so I’m already down. Just gonna try to relax about it

I didn’t get one from McGovern ir my other school. tried not to get my hopes up but it is still pretty crushing

McGovern doesn’t send that many prematches so there’s always a big chance to get in on Match Day. Plus, from what I’ve seen here everyone who posted they got an A interviewed in August so it might be a slow trickle for people who interviewed a bit later. Keep your head up, been feeling pretty crushed myself but it’s probably best to stay off SDN for a bit honestly for my sanity haha

They have your app and secondary essays but are blind to GPA/MCAT. Side note: they can see how many times you took the MCAT but not the score.

They can also see where you have interviewed, when the school themselves has invited you to interview.
Most Texans apply to all the TMDSAS schools, it doesn't matter!

I have heard from students whose interviewer said, during their interview, that he could see where else the candidate had been invited for an interview. If this happens to you, keep your cool, and say that you would like to use your time in the interview talking about THIS school 🙂

no, by their ranking of you compared to others they have met. Remember McGovern doesn't give out a ton of pre-match offers, so don't be discouraged if you aren't one of them

The TMDSAS Director confirmed it's true; he was asked directly in a Q & A session.
Applicants can be assured though that:
One school cannot read your secondary essays for another school
One school cannot read the interview notes from another school

is there any way this hurts someone’s chances? for example, if a school like PLFSOM sees that an applicant interviewed at utsw/bcm, isn’t it possible they’d be more hesitant to extend prematch or match offers for yield protection?
