Congratulations! I know there is a Facebook group overall for the MCW class of 2028 but not sure if there is any specific group for Green Bay
 
Is anyone else having troubles joining the accepted student group on FB? The join button is not visible for me

Anyone know where we can find the previous years' match lists? I have struggled to find a reliable list online.

Seems pretty impressive to me for a “mid tier” program. Definitely has some similarities to some of the higher ranked programs

This is just my opinion but I feel like the quality of the experience and what you have gained/ how you've grown shown in your description is more impactful, especially with schools that are not very heavy on research. I was accepted this cycle with some research like 150-160 hours but had a bit more service close to 1000 hours. I chose to not do more research because I simply did not enjoy basic science research and being in a lab versus my clinical experience which I enjoyed way more (and had the most hours in). There are so many factors including your circumstances and what you are passionate about and everyone is going to like one activity more than others. At the end of the day if you are not applying for PhD I feel like you do not need a ton of research. And you never know stay hopeful, I wish you the best of luck this cycle!
 
were the questions asked during interview traditional? (i.e., why medicine etc)
 
For those completing the scholarship application, do you have overlapping info from secondaries?

Did you have any clinical experience? You mentioned service close to 1000 hours I’m assuming that’s not clinical experience?

Yes, my main clinical experience was scribing I had about over 2500 hours (by now, little less when I applied in July) as an ED scribe. I also had some minor experience as a medical assistant for a few months & some other minor ones too. The service hours I mentioned were mainly non-clinical during undergrad or at a warehouse organizing donations and some at a free clinic. Something to note though is I am a reapplicant I applied last year (did not get an interview at MCW last year) and this is my second time applying. I took one gap year after graduation so by the time I start it will be 2 years off college.

I would also like to add that I do not think the number of hours matters as much as the quality, though in my case I worked because I needed the income and trying to pay my undergrad debt and just overall financially driven reasons for working more.

I know right…there’s no telling who is going to get an interview. I was complete in September so I am hoping that I wasn’t given a pre-II R.

I was complete July 30th and heard nothing back... kinda my only chance at this point too
 
Would sending a LOI help out pre-II? MCW is a school that I would really want to attend.
I submitted an update letter back in November.
