I hope so…anyone got any interview invites lately? are they still sending them out?
At least a handful were sent out this Tuesday. I saw at least one date in Feb as the latest but wasn't really checking far out.anyone got any interview invites lately? are they still sending them out?
Most schools will tell you their technology requirements or minimums as they will likely install (or have you install) course software or anti-cheating/monitoring software for exams. Just ask current students until then.Does any know if MCW provides any technology needs for admitted medical students? Or any discounts on apple products? I was reading that the school recommends a 2021 or newer laptop... Can anyone confirm if this is necessary?
Did you already pay the deposit / respond to the offer? Trying to decide if I should reach out to them or if there is a reason I may not have received it yetI got mine and actually forgot to complete thanks for the reminder!
Not yet I did not accept the offer/ pay the deposit just waiting until it gets closer to the April 30 deadline. Could be just it takes a few weeks until you get it, when did you get accepted? I received the background email on 1/2 and got the acceptance on 11/10.Did you already pay the deposit / respond to the offer? I got the acceptance in mid-December, so yes, it may just be that it takes a few weeks to get everything set up - especially with the holiday break taking up a decent portion of time between then and now. I'll give it a few more weeks before I reach out.Not yet I did not accept the offer/ pay the deposit just waiting until it gets closer to the April 30 deadline. Did anyone send email thank yous? I found my interviewers' emails so I'm assuming it can't hurt right?
honestly, because it was about a year ago now I'm starting to forget. But from what I remeber it was very chill! I know we had two interviewers but I can only remember the one I had with a 4th year medical student. It was very conversational, we talked about our similar interests as she asked me to expand on things from my application. She even met me after my acceptance to give me more information on mcw which helped me make my decision to come herehey! I'm wondering how your interview experience was like? yes! your white coat is free, however, it does not have your name on it. My roommate however got her name embroided for like 20$ at a local shop. You also get a lunch box which miscellaneous things in it. Plus AMBOSS and UWorld are free for step studyingDoes MCW provide students with any freebies? Like a backpack, water bottle, computer, iPad, etc? I know some schools do.
Wondering this toosubmitted secondaries 7/25, IS, have heard nothing. any idea if they are still giving out any II's?
They give II until March so hang in there like the rest of ussubmitted secondaries 7/25, IS, have heard nothing. any idea if they are still giving out any II's?
you do not recieve anything, although there is usually a good apple promo deal in the summer/fall. MCW does recommend a newer laptop, although honestly a few of my classmates have older ones and they work just fine. However, just be ready for Examplify to destroy your laptop in a few years if it's not the specs recommended to run the program.Does any know if MCW provides any technology needs for admitted medical students? the pass rate is in the 90s, i want to say really high 90s but don't quote me on that. With the old curriculum we get 6 weeks of dedicated, but myself and several others have been studying since the beginning of M2 and are taking it before dedicated begins so that we can have a "summer break" before m3 begins in July.I was wondering if you know the recent Step 1 pass rate? you get a lunch box, a free white coat, and 10 free therapy sessions through MCW. When dedicated comes you get Amboss and UWorld, but those costs are added to your tuition and thus aren't really "free". But you also can't opt out. Soooo, girl math says they're free.Does MCW provide students with any freebies? Like a backpack, water bottle, computer, iPad, etc? I know some schools do.
I see, I didn't realize no one from the new curriculum had taken it yet... Thank you for the insight!the pass rate is in the 90s, i want to say really high 90s but don't quote me on that. HOWEVER, there is now a new curriculum, and nobody from that curriculum has taken step yet. So bear that in mind.
No, I submitted the day before and haven't heard anythingAnyone completed near the secondary deadline get any updates or IIs?
ok thank youThey had interview days on 03/30 and 03/31 -- not sure if those were the last last, but thought I would share.
They started interviewing a few weeks ago and since they are doing rolling admissions, there is no solid timelineHas anyone heard back about the Health Equity scholars application and what is the timeline/ when to expect to hear back?
Do you mean in the morning or afternoon? If so I received my decision exactly at noon like 12:03 PM if this helps.Anyone know around what time post-interview decisions came out in previous waves?
Why specifically Feb 26?countdown to Feb 26 begins![]()
Why specifically Feb 26?
If there is I would like to join it as well!Is there an accepted group for MCW-CW?
do they put the decision in the subject of the email?
Should we email pre-II update letters to the admissions office directly or upload it to secondary portal? Just don’t want for it to get overlooked if that makes sense.
+1any of the 1/12 interviewees also get the delayed decision email?
Looks like we’ll have to make one lol!If there is I would like to join it as well!
M1 here, we will take step 1 in December of this year, i.e. after the first half of our M2 year. Not sure exactly how much dedicated time we will get but I anticipate it will be around 6-7 weeks.I see, I didn't realize no one from the new curriculum had taken it yet... Thank you for the insight!
