IS A for regional campus!
Hi, can I asked you what questions did they ask during the MCW-GreenBay campus? some traditional questions like tell me about yourself, why medicine, why our school, strengths and weakness? some ethical questions? Thank you. And high stress or low stress?

Pretty traditional interview questions. Mine was between 7-9 interviewers (which was a little intimidating) but overall not too stressful! Good luck!

stats and casper, if you don't mind me asking?
I'll just say this now for you and for anybody in here who might be wondering...CASPER scores don't seem to make a huge (or any) difference in the committee's decision. Source: my M1 classmates who have directly said they scored in 1st/2nd quartile.

+1, I got in with a 2Q CASPER

I put in an application a month ago but no news yet. Anyone else hear back? They aren't answering emails
How can we get the application? I only got the email telling me abt HESP itself but no application yet

Has anyone here gotten a post-II R? Also does anyone know the source for the 80% post-II acceptance rate I keep hearing?

The source is from the 2021 application cycle excel sheet that was applicant-generated. So there's really no way to verify it. However, I saw that people in last year's SDN thread said it's not that high, but it's still higher than other schools.

I think participation of a spreadsheet like this would definitely be higher in accepted students than rejected. Also in general, I see that applicants who are active on SDN tend to be more involved in their application and therefore more competitive on average. So I think that may be an inflated number based on that.

In addition, using some verifiable data, MSAR says there are 814 total interviewed and 265 matriculated last cycle. To achieve 80% post-II acceptance rate there would need to have been 651 acceptances. This means 386 students would've gotten accepted and turned down the acceptance. Seems unlikely

I agree. However, I don't believe they made their statistics by students self-reporting. Most of those numbers come from schools who share them on interview day. MCW didn't share them this year, and I have trouble believing they shared them in 2021. But I def agree with you that it's probably inaccurate and the 80% thing sounds very unlikely.

Also, the regional campuses gotta be taken into consideration. They're going to be more picky by nature, tending to favor WI residents who in return are more likely to accept their offer. But the spread sheet only gives one row for MCW, not 1 for each campus. So that skews things even more.

Received an MCW Medical School winter hat from the admissions office today to celebrate the holidays. They're so sweet 🥰
What, I want one 😭hope it comes in the mail. Anyone know if they have a second look or accepted students day?

I believe they still interview through March. i'm sure interviews slow down and groups get smaller but i'm not sure when.
as far as I have seen, the groups do not get smaller and interviews continue through March. Plenty of my classmates got in on the last couple of interview days a few years ago and last year there were a couple of last-minute dates added, so do not lose hope until they officially are done with interview days.

As far as the post-interview acceptance rate goes, Id agree that the 80% stat passed around is probably inflated since that was all self-reported, but in my experience, we have a high post-interview acceptance rate compared to other programs. It is hard to get an interview since nobody knows what the school wants, but once you have an invite you can breathe a bit easier and know the odds are a lot better for you.

Any tips for the waiting period on getting an II? I love MCW but starting to get stressed lol

For those who are accepted, did you fill out the FAFSA form already? And have they started sending out financial aid letters? I am not sure which FAFSA year to fill out.

Is there a group for accepted students? Thank you!

Hey, oddly enough the FAFSA won’t be ready to fill out until Dec 31 at the earliest.
They made a big project of simplifying the FAFSA this year but apparently it was very complicated to simplify it!!
Refer to FAFSA.gov for details

Thank you for the clarification, I guess I thought I am supposed to do the old one (the 2023-2024) to avoid delaying the financial aid loan/ award in case MCW sends them early
