2023-2024 UT Southwestern (UTSW)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Do ya'll think the recent interview homies will be included in the next prematch round or is that too soon?

So this Friday is when we should expect the next wave of prematches?
Don't "expect" anything because it can make you anxious.
Go about your life and let it be a pleasant surprise if it happens this week.

Yes, I know it's hard to wait, because you're used to turning in your stuff at school, and then getting a grade predictably so you know how you did. This process can take over a year.

I'm so grateful to have gotten an II as an OOS applicant. I really thought all of my applications to Texas schools were probably going to be tossed, but wow, I was shocked when UTSW pulled through!! Anyone have any ideas on what their OOS post-II acceptance is like? This completely throws my entire app cycle off course. I was already set to go to another school in my state but UTSW would be a dream come true.

50% post-II acceptance rate for OOS according to the most recent data, which is from 2021. You have a good shot

The added benefit of the TMDSAS timeline - even though you are an OOS applicant and don’t go through our Match Day system- is that you will probably know by mid February whether you are in or out. Plenty of time to make up your mind before AMCAS commit to enroll deadlines

Regardless of the chances, take this interview seriously and do your best. Even if the chances were close to none, you only need 1 acceptance

A
Lol did you get an A or praying for an A?

Do letters of intent matter for OOS interviewees? They said they accept letters of intent but Idk if it will make a difference.

tbh I think a lot of the time its pretty unclear if it'll make a real difference. If UTSW is your top choice, I'd send it! Other schools have told me they like to see some updates in your letter too.

Does UTSW send any more acceptances after this batch? Is this the last major batch of acceptances? Interviewed 10/7, LM79.
Thank you

Did anyone else get in 11/11? Do they tend to come back and accept oos students after this wave or is it wraps
Similar question here, if you don't get pre-match offers this wave do you still have a chance in Dec and Jan? I interviewed 11/11
