correct me if I’m wrong, but this is the first round of prematches that include IS students. So there should be a few more that we can count on!
Many who were offered admission on October 16 were Texas residents.correct me if I’m wrong, but this is the first round of prematches that include IS students. So there should be a few more that we can count on!
Shoot, same day and nothing yet. Wonder if it’s a soft WL 🫠10/28

Yes! Haven’t seen otherwise, I did one myself last year.I'm an IS applicant, does UTSW accept letters of intent? Just wanted to make sure before I wrote one, thanks!
when were you complete?
End of novemberwhen does UTSW stop sending out interview invites according to previous cycles?
Great thank you! I wanted to make sure so I didn't bug them if they didn't accept them. Did you address it to the admissions committee or a specific person? I'm having difficulty finding the Director of Admissions for UTSW.Yes! Haven’t seen otherwise, I did one myself last year.
I did both actually. I also had a hard time finding that so I addressed it to the Dean of med students and the admissions committee. Not sure who actually read it, but didn't hurt to throw a wide netGreat thank you! I wanted to make sure so I didn't bug them if they didn't accept them. Address it to the admissions committee, as in "Dear Admissions Committee"I did both actually. I also had a hard time finding that so I addressed it to the Dean of med students and the admissions committee. Not sure who actually read it, but didn't hurt to throw a wide net
Sounds good, thank you for your help!Address it to the admissions committee, as in "Dear Admissions Committee"
I think the admissions committee members being hard to find is on purpose 🙂
accepting the offer doesn't mean that you are bound to going thereHi everyone! I got accepted last week, but it said something about accepting the offer within 2 weeks. I'm not ready to commit, so does anyone know if the two weeks is a hard deadline or just a recommendation? Thanks!
Accepting is not binding at this point.Hi everyone! I got accepted last week, but it said something about accepting the offer within 2 weeks. I'm not ready to commit, so does anyone know if the two weeks is a hard deadline or just a recommendation? Thanks!
You must accept every medical admission or else you have rejected it and they move on to next person in their list.Hi everyone! They do offer a lot during prematch period, but some also get in on Match Day, especially since some people who interviewed with UTSW have had multiple interviews and they can only enroll at oneIs it likely to match into UTSW? Interviewed here in early September and haven't heard back. I've heard this school is very prematch heavy, so I'm curious if anyone has information from the past on how many students get in through the TMDSAS match.
Shoot your shot, you never knowWould it be advisable to write a letter of intent as an in-state student if this is our first choice school? I'm assuming it wouldn't be terribly effective since the match would signify our interest.
you can send a letter of update if you want to mention some important changes. it is too early to send another letter of intent. Might make more sense in January.i sent a letter of interest after my interview. would it be too desparate to send a letter of intent before the december wave or should i wait to hear back?
CorrectAre campus tours/visits only for those who have been accepted?
yea this just happened to me even though i clearly knew utsw stops ii's by end of november...I was j sitting w my buddy and he got excited thinking he got an II bc he got an email from them with an update and we were excited but he got pre II R 🙁
