So do we think if we haven't received a phone call with an A yet, that one of the following will happen on Tuesday:

1. Rejection;
2. Waitlist;
3. No decision and we have to wait until February 12 for the next round.

I'm assuming there is no 4th option of an A.

Is there any chance an A comes Tuesday without a call? The portal and website seem to imply not everyone gets an A call before the A, but that seems dubious. ("In many cases, accepted applicants will also receive a congratulatory personal phone call.")
I am pretty sure that there won’t be any post-II R’s or WLs until 4/15. Only A’s before then

Is the campus open between Christmas and New Years? Most universities are closed, I thought.

Has anyone who interviewed ~11/20 or later gotten an A?
I interviewed in early December and got my acceptance call this week. Was honestly surprised cause I thought a decision about me wasn't going to be made until the February round... if you look at my username, you'll see that I'm actually the cousin of @toastedbutter, so the good fortune must run deep in the family

Congratulations my brother 🙏🏽

I don't think they've sent official stuff out yet, I was accepted on the phone last week but I haven't gotten an email or a portal update yet. Give it a few hours

Do we think that people without phone calls will get As too, or relegated to the next round? Or they could have called and it just didn't go through because I'm out of country, but my voicemail doesn't show any new ones.

Their website says "In many cases, accepted applicants will also receive a congratulatory personal phone call." which seems to imply it's possible accepted applicants may not but this might also just be their catch all in case they accidentally missed anyone

Received the official portal update email just now after the acceptance phone call last week

does this mean there’s going to be no notification for WL/Rs ? like will we find out at the end of the cycle

2024 HPSA/SDN (Pilot) Recorded Video Interview Survey wants your feedback!

Did you take a recorded video interview (Kira Talent, SparkHire, Standardized Video Interview) as part of your application experience?

HPSA/SDN wants to hear about your experience with these recorded interview platforms and compare with any other virtual interview experiences you may have experienced.

Complete our 2024 HPSA/SDN Recorded Video Interview pilot survey!

We want to develop advice for next cycle about preparing for how programs may use these recorded video interviews for selecting candidates for their incoming classes.

Even if you haven't had a recorded video interview, please let us know what virtual interview formats you may have experienced so we can get an idea how the health professions admissions applicant journey is like with these new technologies.

Share this information with others, including (if you received an offer of admission) your incoming class peers! The more perspectives and feedback we get, the more powerful our advice will be to help future applicants achieve their dreams!

Did you end up doing it the same day?
Do y'all think it's fine to do the Kira assessment same-day as the interview? I know they say "before or day of" but hope it doesn't look like I procrastinated.. I just don't really want to do my hair, makeup, and put on a suit for 20 mins on a different day. I was going to do it during the 3 hour gap between faculty interviews.

Anybody know if we're expected to be in formal attire for the evening info sessions? I interviewed today but the next "financing your medical education" Zoom is next week and I don't really want to dress in a suit on a separate date for a 30-min group presentation if not necessary
How did this turn out? Was the fin aid presentation formal attire?

Nope, I'm pretty sure you just come as you are. I think the only people dressed formally were interviewing that day anyway.

I did, after the main interview session. Dr. Hagemann in the closing remarks was like "please do your Kiras, we're trying it out this year" so while it's expected I think they're still just testing them and it's not a huge deal (I hope anyway because I bombed)
They've been doing Kira for years, although an M3 I know told me everyone who she's talked to in her class thought they bombed it too lol

FWIW, I ranged from bad to mediocre on all of my stations and didn't even finish talking in one of them, and I got in. I also did it the same day as interviewing

oh that's weird! my bad. The intro/instructional videos may have been recorded before the first time they rolled it out because they said "we are now using" etc. thanks for correcting me!

Anybody else having trouble logging into Net Partner to complete the financial aid forms?

When did you get the Net Partner email? I still haven't received it -- could you tell me the email it comes from or the subject line?

Is there any consensus on when WashU will be sending out last round of IIs?

Hi guys,
I really would like to speak to a URM and/or queer person that attends this school, as one myself. If any of you are on here, I'd love if you'd be open to talking to me! Shoot me a DM 🙂

Does anyone know if they're still doing Why WashU Wednesdays and, if so, how to sign up?

Is attending the various information sessions required for interviewees?

They are still doing them, but it's not every Wednesday. You can find the recordings here for past sessions and also see the sessions coming up. They send the invites about a week before to sign up for the Zoom link. After the first one (which was open to everyone), I think they went back to just interviewed candidates but I'm not 100% sure about that.
Ah- this makes sense. Yeah I didn't get any emails after that first one but I just recently got an II, so hopefully I'll start get Zoom invites moving forward

Same here, good luck everyone!
Withdrew from my Interview and my application. I hope one of you gets my interview spot. Best of luck to all of you!

Can anyone speak about their experience interviewing here? Is it traditional 1-on-1 faculty & student?

Does anybody know if there are WashU specific questions in the Standardized Video Interview? Trying to see if I should research the school tonight before doing it or wait until closer to my interview date

There are not. Largely just situational judgment questions. I prepared like it was a casper exam. Good luck

I still haven’t even gotten a net partner email yet, I don’t think… also got an A in that first wave.

I really really like this school but I kinda feel like a letter of intent would significantly decrease chances of merit-based aid (which, from what I can tell, WashuU is pretty generous with). At the same time, I've heard that schools like WashU really appreciate letters of intent given their less desirable location and lower yield (with many high-stat students having other T10 acceptances to choose from). Soooooo now I'm extremely conflicted

Any thoughts/tips?
Why would a LOI decrease the likelihood of merit-based aid? I've never heard this before
