Interviewed beginning of Feb, does anyone know if they'd be releasing decisions this wave for that time period?

We’ve been told that merit scholarships roll out 2-6 weeks after acceptances, so it might be a bit early for those accepted 3 weeks ago. However, in the 2024 matriculating class around 70% received full-tuition funding meaning many from the second and third wave likely received scholarships as well.
the 70% includes MSTP, so the number for MD is lower, but still a high%!

Have all acceptances for the Feb. 17 date been sent out? Or will more be sent out tomorrow? Interviewed 02/05.

Hi! Could I DM any current medical students here? Just have a few questions.

Did they say anything about merit scholarships? They told me they would start releasing them in early February. They offer merit and need-based aid. Some of the merit scholarships are full. Most of the need-based include some sort of institutional loan component but can cover the whole cost of tuition.
I got a call for merit scholarship on Friday Feb 14 and I'm really inclined to think they're still handing them out

Did anyone who was just accepted in the most recent wave of decisions submit a post-interview letter of interest/intent?

I interviewed last November and I was accepted this wave! Not sure if it helped but I submitted an LOI last week 🙂 I’m an international student so praying for a merit scholarship so I can actually go since I’m not eligible for need-based aid😭

Hi! Can I ask if you submitted it on the portal or if you emailed it?

For those accepted, what does your transcript tab look like? Do you also have the "other (not listed)" option?

Does anyone know the breakdown of the different decision dates? How many acceptances given at each one? Waiting for March...

Sorry if this has been asked before! But do we know the criteria of the merit scholarships are and how much of the class receives them?

People can frame it however they want to make it sound less crude, but it is basically "do we think you are going to have better/ competitive options." WashU has one of the most robust scholarship/grant/aid systems there is though and pretty much everyone admitted will get at least some support from my understanding.

very real answer thank you. i wasn't offered a scholarship in the last round and i'm trying to get a handle on how they're doled out. everything is just vaguely "merit" and i thought it might be interest-based like health equity or academic medicine with specific scholarships for specific purposes

67% of people (including MSTP though) got full tuition scholarships last year, and 89% had some sort of aid (whether need based or merit based). WashU is definitely very generous, and I want to believe that more scholarships are coming!

They are often tied to some kind of characteristic of the applicant (ex. Student actually from St. Louis, ex2. Ethnicity, etc) or “mission-based” like if student wants to serve the underserved, but the overall reason they do it is to be competitive when seeking applicants.

I would try to not get too frustrated or worry about it for now. If you have other offers, you can certainly get them to at the very least match imo. If people decline an offer, those scholarships often become available and could go to you (though that would be closer to april 30).

Still really early in the game. You cant 100% expect it but if you were admitted in these earlier waves I think you can expect them to want to retain you.

My interviewer got her half tuition scholarahip at WashU upgraded to a full tuition scholarship even after committing to the school. That is pretty generous, for example.

Does anyone know if there's an accepted students groupme or facebook i can join?

have any recent admits gotten the financial aid email yet to start the process of applying? or did you just start sending stuff
