2025-2026 Wayne State

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
how is this going to affect this year's cycle?! 😭
It won't, but it's important to be up to date on what is happening with administration for clinical partnerships, the programs leadership, and how they will react to students exercising their constitutional rights to ensure applicants make an informed decision on the program if they end up with multiple A's.

also, does anybody know how beneficial it is to attend the in person tour? i’m scheduled to but idk how helpful it is lol

anyone who interviewed 9/12 get told when we will hear back? last year looks like they heard 10/17 (not 10/15 when august interviews heard)

I'm interviewing tomorrow and have not received any updates on interview time or interviewer names on my AMP. I know which track i signed up for but I didn't get information about the exact times. Is this normal??

Try calling them? I have info on my amp

Also, I thought there was supposed to be an information session before the start of our interviews but I haven’t received any links to that… do we just jump straight into the interviews?

There are different groups that they divide interviewers into, which bases the order of which you either interview, attend information setting (a waste of time imo), or MMI. You will get a brief run down of everything, but yes, it is very normal to have to wait until the day before and sometimes even the day of to have this information.

I have to say that is pretty disappointing to hear about. Sounds like many other schools have better systems in place.

Last year I interviewed at Wayne and they did not send the link to interview for AM track until 7:30pm the night before. There was no confirmation of time in the portal or confirmation email either. My student interviewer overslept and my faculty was 15 minutes late. My personal experience and I have heard good things from others, but my day was not run very smoothly.

I have nothing other than the info on AMP - I wouldn’t even know to check there if it wasn’t for SDN so thank you guys <3

but I haven’t received any links to that…
Interviewed a couple weeks ago. I did a Friday so timing may differ bc of the weekend but i got an email around 11pm EST the night before with a zoom link to join prior to the start of interview day and then just use the links on AMP for everything else 🙂

if i submitted end of august, when do yall think its likely to start hearing back on an interview? feeling the nerves creeping in lolol

I submitted beginning of July, so they’re not going in order so it could be sooner or later

How in the world do they decide the order to go in?? high MCAT high GPA first? then…?

Curious about this school, but honestly schools in general

Maybe MCAT/GPA and sort into groups and go with higher first. Location probably matters too. Maybe even depending on the types of activities as well.

I believe most programs will assign a number of apps to a reviewer and some are slower than others.

Fully depends on the school, but also comes down to how fast your reviewer goes through their set of applications.
Each school is different on what they prioritize. As the year goes on, adcoms see gaps in their class (lack of diversity, too many research focused students, not enough IS, etc) and they move around their priorities to fit them. At least for the first round until October 15th they emphasize mission fit or stats primarily.

Anyone signed up for tomorrow's campus tour? 0 info given on where to meet, when, etc.

Im mid stats, 511 3.8, and was in one of the first batch of interviews. I dont think there is necessarily an order.

Any idea if RD acceptances go out on exactly October 15th? I interviewed in mid-August and want to know if I should be excited for the day or not lol
