Yea, and MD/PhDs are there for 7 years- so you would have to add 3 years worth of MD/PhDs that are enrolled in both. And then one year worth of MD/MPHs because they stay for 5 years. And then Im sure theres a screw up here or there- because UNC strives for 100% graduation. But the 160 is pretty firm I think. 140 Instate, 20 OOS, 5 of which are ED and some number of whom are MD/PhD. Of that 160 exactly 50% will be male and 50% will be female. Some percentage will be reapplicants, and up to a maximum percentage will be from UNC undergrad. And though I have seen absolutly no evidence of it, I'm gonna go ahead and play Devil's advocate here and say there may be some quotas on ethnicity like there are at other schools . Once I took all this into account I realized that the number of seats I was competing for was actually pretty small and the number of people competing for it was quite large. Just something I was thinking about.
