How safe is this area around the school?

Would it be OK to walk down Mass Ave from the T-stop to BU at night? (it's about 1 mile)

I spent two summers in Boston. I think you will be fine. A lot of people are walking around over there as well anyway.

Personally, I wouldn't make a habit of walking around Roxbury near the Medical Center at night. It's not that I think I'm overwhelmingly likely to get mugged there, but rather I think it's more likely there than in some other parts of Boston.

It looks like they're out into September completion dates for rejections, but only late July/early August for invitations, so I wouldn't fret just yet. Yes, your date is on the chopping block, but around here, no news is, well, at least not bad news. 😉

While our Committee is accustomed to reviewing a very large volume of applications, this year we have seen an unprecedented number of applications that have been completed early in the cycle. It appears that we will be able to interview only about 10% of our applicants this year, so these reviews are quite challenging. As a result, we are running several weeks behind.

I regret the fact that we have not been able to take action on your application as yet, but I want to assure you that we are moving as quickly as we can and that there will be no penalty for the delay in our processing. Applicants who are selected for interview are invited in chronological order by date of application completion, not by date of review. If our Committee on Admissions concludes that we can invite you for an interview and campus visit, we will get it done!

Apparently, they only interviewed 10% of their applicants last year. So this is apparently normal.

I just had the same problem - try again - worked for me after a few tries

Also, interview invite! Complete 8/10. Has anyone who has been invited clicked on the "unable to accept these dates" option on the interview scheduling page? I'm hesitant to click on that option since it clearly says to send them a message if none of the shown dates work for you.

I'm a reapp graduate student in Georgetown's SMP, 3.4 undergrad from University of Michigan and 35 on my MCAT with the normal EC's.

I'm a reapp graduate student in Georgetown's SMP, 3.4 undergrad from University of Michigan and 35 on my MCAT with the normal EC's.

So have they not seen your tests results in the SMP yet? Maybe they really liked your personal statement along with your MCAT score. And isn't Michigan known for grading hard. Good luck with the interview.
