Good luck to all you people. Honestly, this whole experience has been something of a war and I feel as you were all soldiers marching with me and fighting by my side. We have all shared most of the same basic feelings that come with this process...anxiety, confusion, pain, heartbreak, and hopefully pure happiness. Much like a war when this is over we will go our separate ways. Some may end up at the same place and others sadly won't make it. Best of luck.

Also I have clearly cracked by this point.

PS: If you think this is an exaggeration (which it definitely is) or for just giggles, look through the forum and you can find people going through the 5 stages of dying: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance.

You are so right, haha the 5 stages of grief...definitely happening to me. I guess there's nothing left but to keep waiting it out. Best of luck to you as well!
 
Does anyone know if Dr.Schwartz made phone calls in January. He is a Renal Doc. Pretty awesome one too. 😍

I had him, too. I didn't hear anyone else who was accepted during the Jan decisions who had him as an interviewer, so it's hard to say. He didn't really seem like the type to call though. Thoughts?

Anyone?
 
Yeah, does not seem like the type to call. :laugh: Awesome guy but I have a feeling we will be waiting for the update/letter.

If someone had him in Jan please enlighten your fellow SDNEr

Congratulations. Second-look is supposed to be May 1st, we should be getting more info some time in April.
 
How about Dr. Kahn?! Did anyone interview with him or has received a phone call from him?
 
its like the movie "He's Just Not That Into You"

Instead of sitting by the phone and waiting for a guy to call, its a med school.

The med school is just not that into me. 🙁
 
so when do you guys think our status pages will be updated? today? tomorrow? next week?

i interviewed with Dr. Holick, who does not seem like the type to call. but if anyone received a call from him please let me know!
 
I never heard anyone notify this board about a Jan call from this guy, but he didn't seem like the type to call. Just wondering.

I should just go home from work... until I hears something my productivity is shot.

Learning patience through the trial by fire method might be good for us I guess.
 
BU. Just send us emails already. Clearly decisions have already been made. It's April tomorrow. What's the point of withholding them any longer?

I'm 100% with you on this. I keep asking myself, "Why can't they just send out e-mails or update our status page!?" It would make us all slightly less insane at this point. I work in a lab and I can't even concentrate on what the heck I'm doing. 🙁
 
i just got a restricted call, the lady on the phone was like may i speak with OneMCATAway and im like thinking to myself omg omg omg its probably my interviewer (at this point i dont remember her voice after 6 months) and turns out it was my eye doc - just shoot me already!! :boom:

I had him back in Nov.... No idea if he calls. Obviously I'm still waiting to here too... I didnt think he was the calling type either. Great guy though! We'll see.

ok at this point its all pretty set in stone, i haven't heard anything about Dr. Vaughn in this year or last year's thread.. anyone?

last year at this time all waitlists and acceptances were out! and the fact that they still made phone calls today kinda confirms it!!! i wish there was a way of knowing for sure so i could just go back to work 😀

Have any deferred people been accepted yet? Maybe we will be last to find out?

I have a feeling that my interviewer does not call. I can't find her name in the January acceptances or even last years thread. Even if I am accepted, I think I am going to have to wait till the status change on the website.

That would be an awkward conversation if you are not on the accept list.
 
The best part of this is that at around this time next year, people applying will go to this thread for some understanding....and they'll be even more confused.
 
I think we should wait until 10 pm tonight and call tomorrow. It seems like most interviewers call after 5 pm anyway.
 
Ahhh! Good luck to everyone waiting - just a reminder, in January, calls started going out way earlier than the status page change (like 2-3 days before if I remember correctly). I received my phone call on Friday 1/8 and I remember I was already bummed at that point because people had started receiving calls way earlier in the week. I received my acceptance packet on 1/11, and my status page did not change until after 1/12. Some people did not find out until their status change/packet in the mail - so don't freak out too much, there is still lots of hope and probably (sorry) a good amount of waiting!

Yea I looked back. There were about 12-13 people post that they received calls. And several more who just found out from their packet arriving. That was over 5 or 6 days between the first call and packets arriving. We have only had 5 or 6 people post that they have gotten calls, and more people are supposed to get in for this round.
 
so the status site doesn't seem to be loading - or at least it's taking really long.... maybe they're posting updates?!?!?! :xf::xf::xf:
