It seems from last year's thread 3/30-4/2 ish was when they started from what a friend waiting for a post interview response said.

seems like in January it was near what it was for the last year's thread too. So perhaps this will be case here too.

I got the same thing and I interviewed just a few days earlier. Sigh.

Yup, got the rejection email as well. Interviewed back in November. Damn! I really loved BU too (and made sure to let them know)! 🙁

I'm operating on the assumption it is a rejection but considering this was much earlier than expected, and that the title of the email says Update Round 1, there is some possibility it was an error. We'll see I suppose.

It might just mean Round 1 = rejections, Round 2 = waitlists/acceptances or something like that.

no Round 1 and Round 2 refer to the two periods in which they issue decisions (In January and in March)

I received a previous email after my interview in late January entitled "Interview follow-up Round 2" so that's why I am assuming the decisions for those who interviewed after the first round of decisions are in Round 2.

I'm really kinda surprised. I thought I had my best interviews here. And they were one of 2 schools I sent a letter of interest too. But with 100 applicants per seat, what can you do?

Based on last year's thread, people get called by their specific interviewer (which is sometimes actually Dean Witzburg, coincidently). But don't be too discouraged, because interviewers aren't required to call the accepted students they interviewed. It's just an option. 😉

Who knows if the interviewers are making all the calls today or if they will spread it out over a few days. I really wouldn't assume that if you don't get a call that you're not getting in. Hope this helps!
