Errmmm filming what last monday? 😵

. . .

The suspect line there refers to West 6th and not the myriad other sites along Euclid, which is to say not-CCLCM, in accordance with below well-known video:

That video sums up Cleveland nicely.

It's a movie called "Truth Be Told." Jon Frakes is the director; it's basically about a woman who falls in love with an old friend that she hasn't seen in years.

Can someone tell me what the best way to update CCLCM (post-interview) is? (Apologies if this is repetitive, I tried using the search function, but only found things pertaining to the UP).

I have no idea how to update CCLCM, sorry. I'll point at the magistrate of the college track Ms. CCLCMer, who will certainly have the answer.

Thx for the Frakes update! Good to see he is still active in the film scene 😀

lol ... so am i the only one who's been having vivid dreams about interviewing at/attending cclcm?

:help: admittedly, i'm going to be crushed once i finally receive that last status change +pity+

but until then... :xf: :luck: :xf: to all of us in this situation
🙄

+1 number one.

Midfieldrulz, you definitely made me smile with your reaction to snagging top

Myuu was very kind to let me have it. She was ready to pounce, but then was seemingly distracted😉 In any case, if I was able to give you a smile, then it is a very good day for me!! Thank you!!

Start here. Then click on the link that says "contact us." Any of the listed methods of contact is acceptable. 😉

Haha, I was just curious if there was a was specified way (the way it is for the UP)! Good to know though 🙄

I'd really appreciate an answer to this question. I have attended a few interviews, and also have a few acceptances. However, I'll be most definitely attending Case; I loved the school the first time I visited, and no other school has won my heart this much. Question is, what's the policy on class attendance? I've heard from a few other students at other schools that lectures are a waste of time at times except when it's mandatory. They said they just study at home and listen to lectures online or something of the sort. Is this the same at Case? Are there recorded lectures? And how much of missing classes can you get away with it? Thanks a lot anyone for answering my question. I have no intention of missing lectures or anything, I just need to know what the situation is like at Case.
Thanks again🙂

If you learn well by lecture, then go to them. If you don't, then don't. Lectures are not mandatory here and not recorded.

So if, for example, you learn biochem better from reading through the mechanisms and drawing them out, rather than having someone talk you through it, there's no penalty.🙂

If you didn't go to lecture, are you still able to see the outlines or power points? How would you know what to study for exams/ what the lecturers emphasized?

The vast majority of the time the lecture powerpoints are posted online for you to view at your leisure (usually before, though sometimes there are technical difficulties), so you generally don't miss anything. There are a couple of chalk talks, but you can always borrow someone's notes for that.

Every lecture (or forum in which material presented, or laboratory session, etc...) has a list of learning objectives on the website for that event, along with the corresponding book/article readings, so you know exactly what they want you to have gotten out of the material. 👍 I go to ALL lectures. Some people go to very few. Whatever works for you best!

Has anyone who has sent in an update to CCLCM received a confirmation or acknowledgement of receipt afterward?

does anyone know how many ppl case interviews for university track and how many are rejected (post interview)?

Gee never seen this thread so dead. Everyone must be out playing in the snow!🙂 Ok, so here are some stats I picked up from a website that tracks this kind of info:
# applied- 5785
# interviewed- 1244
# accepted- 496
Class size- 199
Don't know what year this is for or if it's even accurate. After all it did come from the web!😉 So ok all you Case med students, go ahead and pile on and tell me how whacked these stats are!

Here's my take although looks like Midfieldrulz and I almost posted simultaneously (the percentages between the two are somewhat similar): I'm pretty sure last year they interviewed around 1000 and accepted around 400 (according to a sheet I got when I interviewed). I don't think there were statistics on which percentage of the remainder were put on hold and which were rejected.

I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain the numbers you guys have are for both UP and CP (MSTP too I think), making it all the more difficult to tease out percentages. I'd find it interesting to know which percent of those ultimately accepted were once on hold, because all those numbers say is how many people overall were eventually offered acceptance (not if they came from initially accepted or initial on hold groups). That would tell how lenient Case was with giving initial holds over initial rejections. Then again, I don't really care to know those numbers, because there's so much speculation in their meaning that it could only mean unnecessary stress haha. :luck::xf:

The class three years ago was comprised of 50% who were initially on hold post-interview before being admitted. Numbers may have changed since, but you get a good idea of how a significant part of the incoming class was once on hold.

Last year -
Total Applications Nationally: 41,243
Total Individual Applications to CWRU: 5,834
University Track
• Applications: 5,108
• Interviews: 924
• Matriculants: 155
College Track
• Applications: 1,510
• Interviews: 313
• Matriculants: 32
MSTP
• Applications: 318
• Interviews: 76
• Matriculants: 12

It is difficult to wait for results following the interview for the UP. I'm glad the clock is moving forward and not backward. The committee will meet again this Monday and one advantage of interviewing later in the process means I don't have to wait for the results as long since the process is almost over. None of the smilies seem appropriate for the mix of emotions so I will just end with a full stop and a lot of hope.

Thanks, that actually makes me feel better. Now I guess the question is what percent of applicants post-interview are put on hold. Is anyone flat-out rejected post-interview?

Today is decision day! I'm nervous!

Anyone know when results get posted?

Those look like the numbers for my class (2013). There probably is a powerpoint floating around with the more recent numbers...

In the past (n=2), they have been posted the Wednesday after the meeting at around 6:15 pm EST.

More like 6:20 PM..

Anyone know when CCLCM sends out the last round of acceptances?

I was wondering if there are any current students who had to make a decision on going to Case over to OSU. I'm just curious to see why you picked Case?

So, am I correct in assuming that the results from the Monday's decision meeting this week will be posted on Wed. at 6:20 EST?
Those decisions are for UP correct? interview date here: 2/8/11
And the last round of interviews has been completed, correct?
So, now everyone interviewed will receive acceptance, rejection, high hold, hold, and ? any other classifications I haven't thought of?

Thank you!:help:

That's around the time that people have been finding decisions posted, but I wouldn't say that time is set in stone. The last day of interviews for the UP is the 25th.

i could be completely and utterly wrong, but for UP i think statuses include acceptance/hold/waitlist/rejection. high hold is used by CCLCM.

From my understanding, if you interviewed the friday before a monday decision day, you will NOT be included in that cycle and you have to wait 2 more weeks. I had my interview in January, and thats why I'm still waiting. Thats what the lovely ladies at the Case office told me.

26 hours to Victory Dance!!!:banana::banana:

Still, "I sense something; a presence I've not felt since...."😱

Not today! I was planning on ordering from one of Cleveland's best pizza take-out places--Pizza Bogo

Granted there are a lot of these in other cities, but it's still really good.🙂

The UP statuses after an interview are: acceptance / hold / rejection.

A few of you dear hold-ees asked not too long ago about when their app will be re-reviewed, and how the alternate list works.

I chatted with Christian Essman this afternoon (who btw is really cool to talk with!) because I still had a few questions about how the hold process works.

They put people on "post-interview hold" whom they really would love to have in the class, but who aren't immediately apparent that "omg this is exactly what we have been looking for, accept them right now."

Those put on hold are not reviewed again until March, after the last round of acceptances go out. Then, those who are on hold are re-reviewed.

The ones they wish they had enough spots to put in the class but can't until someone drops are invited onto the alternate list. Christian said he prefers to lovingly refer to it as a "We-really-want-you-but-don't-have-enough-spots-yet" list.

Those who they really did like (and thus were put on the hold list to begin with) but they can't foresee getting close to enough spots to fit them in, they don't invite to the alternate list.

The alternate list is not ranked. They know who they have on there. And then, how far they get through the alternate list each year offering acceptances really varies. But none are accepted until a little while after May 1, which is Case's decision date. (I got my call May 10.) Most other schools' date is May 15, so the decision date is pushed up a little bit here. That means you could potentially be accepted earlier here than at other schools.

Developing patience is a zen art - imagine how skilled you will be by May! But the alternate list DOES definitely move a decent amount. And Case is worth the wait <3
