Anyone know when mid December interviewees should expect to get a decision?
 
Well, I really thought my interview trail was over but . . . I got invited to interview here this morning! wow! I'm a little hesitant to pick a date though because I feel like if WashU really was interested in me, they would have offered me an interview at an earlier date. (My application was in back in July.) Any thoughts??
For those interested, the dates still available are Feb. 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11th.
 
I also received an interview invitation this morning... And I thought my interview trail was over! Time to break that suit back out.

There are people in my class who interviewed in February. I'd personally still do the interview.
 
Woohoo! Honored to get an invite here. I too was complete early on, but I am definitely going to the interview. Unlike some state schools and some of the lower-ranked private schools WashU can fill all its interview slots with qualified applicants, so its not like they need the last few weeks or whatever of interviews just to cover themselves. My guess is that if they are inviting us even at this point they are still considering us.
 
So I've decided to interview here on Feb. 10th. I've decided that I like WashU just slightly more than other schools which have already accepted me. Besides, I don't know when I'll have an excuse to fly out to St. Louis again lol

Anyone else scheduled for Feb 10th?? If so, I'll look forward to meeting you in person--we'll finally get to learn each other's real names!! It seems that the interview groups are small enough (someone said 10 people/interview day) that we should all be able to get to know each other as long as we're not all horribly introverted or something. I'll be more than willing to be the first one to ask the awkward question: "So, are any of you on SDN?? I'm Invin22" haha

Sounds like a lot of interview invites just went out....will this be the last round of invites for the year? Time's running out. Do they wait to reject until after interview season?

I'm now fully rejected from this school. Got the letter today in the mail. 🙁

To what status are you referring? Does your status page no longer state "According to our records and procedures your file is Complete." ?

The message on the homepage (talks about letters taking 3 days to appear as received on their site or something like that) disappeared for me about two days before I got the rejection letter. My status site is still there though and it has that message KickedOut mentioned about my file being "complete."
 
Anyone know when the next round of acceptances will be out?

Aaaugh, I can't take these Fridays anymore. WashU is by far my top choice right now and every time I know they're sending out acceptances the anticipation just about kills me. I keep telling myself that I might have to wait til April....but I still get my hopes up every time! 😳
 
anybody get any change? particularly the ones whose status messages went away?

no change for me...interviewed middle of october and still nothing 🙁

well, i refuse to give up hope until i actually receive a rejection...but things are beginning to look bleak
 
ACCEPTED!!! Status change at midnight central. Interviewed in early November, but sent an update/interest letter at the end of December.
 
My status disappeared a while ago and I didn't hear anything this AM either. Perhaps it's time to send WashU an update...
 
No news here either. I want. this. school. Interviewed early November, sent a letter of intent shortly afterward. I don't have much to update them on so another letter would just be desperate. 😳

I guess all I can do is wait at this point...I know they have quite an active waitlist so I can be patient!
 
I feel like I heard that they give out a lot of their acceptances and March, so we shouldn't be freaking out if we don't hear anything in these early acceptance rounds? Could be wrong but it's a nice thought....
 
I think I was happier when I didn't know what dates the committee was meeting. Now I'm obsessive about it. Interviewed 11/2 and still haven't heard anything. Oh well, here's hoping for better news in a couple of weeks!
 
Been complete since early October...I'm very sure that rejection letter is on its way. I really wish it were by email.

Yep, looks like these are the last two committee meetings for this cycle. Took a peek at the thread from last year, looks like the beginning of March is when everyone will receive a rejected/waitlisted notification. Last year there wasn't an SDNer who was accepted at the beginning of March (aka these last two committee meetings may be the last shot to garner an acceptance before being placed on the waitlist). Last year everyone on the waitlist was informed that the school planned on taking ~50 individuals, but I am not sure how many were ultimate accepted nor could I find the number of individuals on the unranked waitlist. Waitlist movement began on May 13th last year.

This is just what I noticed quickly scanning last year's thread...anything could happen this year! Congrats to those who received good news and a continued good luck to everyone else!
 
where are you guys seeing when the committee meets? I cant find anything on their website

Not exactly. The dates are based off of:

This is a link to the FAQ for the MD/PhD program. Click on the "How are admissions decisions made and what is the application deadline?" arrow.

Under this heading it will list all the dates that the MSTP committee will issue acceptances. Based on previous year's threads, MSTP and MD acceptances have been issued on the same date. So far these dates have held true.

I really think it's about time I "unsubscribe" this thread 😀
