ugh. I interviewed in Septemeber, still no word from these guys. I feel like they at least owe me a solid rejection rather than nothing at all at this point....
 
Approx how many students interview per interview date?

I actually talked to someone with a OUWB folder in their hand leaving Beaumont Royal Oak yesterday that said they just got done interviewing. So I figured must have been an interview day...

Or maybe after working all day I was starting to have hallucinations.

Hmm well interview days are on Fridays, I'm pretty sure
 
Very impressed with everything and everyone at this school today. This school is really starting something special. I hope I can be a part of it 🙂 !!!

It is a rather long interview day with two tours and a lot of building changes. I'm a guy, but some girls were clearly struggling in their heels. Also, don't forget about the combo of ice + heels if it's below freezing during your interview...

Admissions dean said they were approximately 1/2 way through interviews and slightly behind 1/2 way through applicants reviewed post-interview. There is a live interview tracker on the admissions website if you are curious. Good luck!

damn 370 interviews already! I hope I'm one of the 50 left lol completed on December 2nd....CDN with 3.76 gpa, 3,69gpa and 31Q mcat (12,8,11)

Do you know if they made only admit/waitlist/deny decisions today, or were they also considering additional interview invitations?
 
I think they're reviewed in the next review
 
So has anyone else been complete for a long time and not heard back? I have been complete for three months now and have also sent in an update letter that they acknowledged, but I still have not heard anything. I am in-state and have good stats with a lot of clinical experience, but I'm getting worried now. I have heard that Wayne is notoriously slow in getting back to people, but they spread out their interviews over the year. It seems that Oakland is almost done handing out interviews, however...

I don't know how it works. It might be that the interview invitation reviews are done without an adcomm meeting (as in your application is rated by reviewers in an online database and then interview invites are sent out to the highest-rated students or something) and the acceptances are by an adcomm meeting

I waited 2 1/2 months between application completion and interview invite, so don't give up hope yet!

My timeline (if you're curious):
July 11: Secondary received
July 15: Secondary submitted
September 30: Interview invite
November 11: Interview
December 7: Acceptance!
 
I was also accepted today (December 7th)
I submitted the secondary on July 25th, received an interview shortly thereafter
Interviewed on November 11th

I am very very excited and I am almost guaranteed to go here unless I receive great financial aid/scholarships from the other schools I've been accepted to. All in all, I am more impressed with OUWB than any other school I worked with.

Congrats!!!! I was very impressed with OUWB as well, especially Beaumont.

Yeah, I am in the same boat with you. I haven't heard for about 3 months too. I was a little worried and asked them what my status was a month ago and they said that it was in its last stages of review. So not having even heard back of a rejection is kind of frustrating. I would want to at least know if I still have a chance there or not. I'm assuming I must be somewhere in the middle. They probably aren't impressed enough to give me an interview right away nor absolutely sure that they would want to reject me. So they just want to compare me against more people? It was like that for me for Wayne, so maybe Oakland will let me know soon. :xf:
 
Accepted!!! And I couldn't be more excited!!!

OUWB is my top choice and has been since the beginning of the cycle.

So happy.

Waiting is tough, you guys just have to hang tight. Unfortunately the med school process isis a lot of waiting, hopefully you guys have other interviews to keep you busy. Best wishes to everybody!

Any <30 MCAT applicants receive acceptances? I met a handful at my interview
 
Interviewed here last Friday and was truly amazed, both by the school and the Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. Like everyone has said, they really have a fabulous thing going on there.Definitely my top choice; will be eagerly awaiting that call. :xf:
 
I interviewed here on 10/11 and still have not heard a word from them. Has anyone else been waiting for 2+ months without hearing anything at all. I loved this place and really want to go here.

I interviewed 9/9 without any news since lol
 
Interviewed 9/16...still no news..would really love to have a chance to go there

although news of acceptance is ideal, no news is also good because it means you are still in the running good luck
 
I interviewed on 9/16 as well...would love to go here too...but I know for a fact they have given post-interview rejections....so i just gotta hope were all still in the running
