Nice! I'm looking forward to mine. Did they say how long the wait is before the notify you?

They said the first day they will be sending out acceptances is oct 16th. Then the committee will meet again on oct 17th if our applications don't get reviewed before the 16th. They told us that if we don't hear back on the 17th, that they will have another committee meeting on oct 31st so we might hear back from them on that date if our application wasn't reviewed on the 16th or 17th.

Just had my interview yesterday. OUWB's interview day was very well done I thought. The presentations were great and convincing, and the hospital was cool too. We didn't really get to see the new medical school building since it's still under construction, but it looks like it will be amazing when it is finished. OUWB really seems to care about its students.

The interviews themselves were relaxed and conversational. There were a lot of standard questions and questions about activities and background. I had two interviews with MD's, with a half hour break in between.

Got my first interview invitation!!!!! So so excited to be wanted somewhere 🙂

secondary complete 7/31
invite 9/28
interview 11/9!

Half of the interview positions have been filled and it looks like they've only gone through a month of applications (July). Doesn't look so good for those just complete :/ If all of the interview position are filled before they get to you, is it just an automatic rejection? Or would you stay on hold?

I was complete in July and still haven't gotten a decision. Every school is giving me the silent treatment. I guess the mystery is better than a right-away rejection, but I hope it's not a silent rejection. haha

Sorry to hear that dude :/ must be really stressful.
I only have 3 interviews, and I'm feeling pretty stressed.
Hope you start getting II's soon 🙂

it seems like they're planning to offer roughly 2.5x more acceptances than class size (so ~250), and with a total of 465 interviews, basically 1 in every 2 applicants interviewed will be accepted.

"May the odds be ever in your favor!" (sorry, couldn't help myself)

1 out of 2 isnt bad!

just 10 more days till they start comin'…!

Also, there will be 200 acceptances offered, not 250. Source: Interview Day, Dean

This Oct. 15th wait is killin me. 9 more days ladies and gents!

Do they silent reject here? I've been complete since August.. and have heard nothing

200/465 doesn't sound so good to be honest. Hope I get good news but not holding my breath. I felt like my interviews went well and I loved the school while I was there so OMG Oakland accept me plzzzzz!

anyone complete mid-august hear back either way yet concerning an II?

Rejected by email.

Complete 8/8: GPA 3.6/3.76, MCAT 35. In-state.

For everyone interviewing at OUWB.

You will love it! Was a great day, they had good presentations, fun exercises, and great food. Additionally the Beaumont tour was fantastic! That hospital is amazing.

The only downside is having to travel the 30 minutes to get to the Beaumont, but the trip is worth it. You can really tell the school is "student centered" as they state, because they really go out of their way to make you comfortable etc. They even had escorts to bring us to our interview so that we didn't get lost.

After interviewing at OUWB, I definitely recommend the school. They have great facilities, and a very unique & interesting curriculum that includes integrated learning & a capstone project.

I AM anxiously awaiting an admissions decision.

**To everyone receiving rejections, sorry to hear about that!! Good luck with your other applications
After interviewing and hearing about their Holistic review process, I really believe that OUWB examines the entire application and not just MCAT/GPA. Although those factors are very important.
They seem to value service, leadership experiences, & clinical experiences.

Finally rejected today. No one wants me. 🙁

II this morning! So so excited. Their super community-focused angle is just awesome...

Anyone complete in September hear anything yet? Looks like its taking more than a month

Hey guys I was just curious if applying to OU would be worth my time. I graduated from OU, 26Q, 3.5 sGPA, masters degree in biomedical sciences, 5000 clinical hours, 250 shadowing, 1300 volunteering and EC, VP of my masters program, IS applicant.. I just didn't know if I would be wasting my time since my MCAT isn't in the 30s.. Thanks for your thoughts
