My oddball application got small-pooled! 3.1 cGPA, 32 MCAT, 4.0 postbac, a metric buttload of volunteer experience. If they're considering me, this is a school that looks at much more than raw numbers.

Does anyone know if they offer student hosting and how to set that up? Thanks in advance!
Sorry, I don't think there is any student hosting. Once you are contacted for an interview they will give you all of the instructions and info

"IV. Letters of Evaluation
We require a composite/committee evaluation from your school or three individual letters of recommendation. All letters of evaluation must be submitted through the AMCAS letter service. Letters will not be accepted through any other method. Letters received through other methods will NOT be included in the application."

Can someone please advise: (1) the max number of letters allowed, (2) any preference for combination of science or non-science for this school, and (3) if a letter packet through AMCAS is acceptable since they do not mention letter packet.

Thanks.

And was anyone able to find the phone number to their admissions office?!?!

Has anyone written 750+ words for either secondary question? Overkill?

No clue on what their preferences are, but I sent a letter packet with four letters in it, and everything worked out ok.

I vote major overkill. I think I wrote 200-250 words and that seemed to be the consensus earlier in the thread. Roughly a couple paragraphs that would fit the same space if you wrote it on a piece of paper

Hey guys, I tried to email the admissions office today and got a Mailer Daemon email back saying that delivery to that address had failed permanently. Anyone else having difficulty emailing them?

Edit: Figured it out: the email that had been sent to me to tell me I was in the primary screening had a typo in the admission's office's email address, and I just copied and pasted. Re-sent with what should be the right email address 🙂...

Me, too! I'm so excited. For those curious, they seem to be offering October dates right now.

Secondary submitted: 7/22
Entered primary screening: 8/8
Small pooled: 8/29
Interview: 8/31

3.79/31

Hopefully they'll send out more II's throughout the day. I've been small pooled since 7/30

Ahhh entered screening on 8/8 here, no small pool email or anything.... 3.65, 32Q, IS.

Hoping this doesn't mean instant rejection...

Me too! Have not heard a peep from them :/ I came here to find anyone having a similar experience. Guess so *le sigh*

Complete: 7/19
Entered Primary Screening: 07/20
Small Pooled: 07/31

II today as well.
Small-pooled a week ago.

If you are talking about double majors, there are lots of students who got in with a non-science or double major (I majored in Ancient Greek)

Telepathy is a requirement for admission.

II today as well.

I answered the email that same day. And the admissions office got back to me the next day.

I am actually going to be in Chicago 2 weeks after the last available date they gave me in my interview e-mail. Do you guys think it would be ok if I e-mailed back asking if they could possibly let me schedule around that time? I dont want to come off as unenthusiastic about the interview, but I am coming from Florida, so saving a trip would be amazing.

Getting nervous - I entered primary screening on 8/10 and still haven't been small pooled....

I don't think that would be a good idea- they do interviews as an entire-day ordeal with groups of applicants, so I don't think they are that flexible. Sorry

I understand, but surely they host interviews in November as well...?

I am going to be adding this school as soon as I get my financial aid check with should be on the 4th. However, I am in a special masters program and from follow last years thread I believe RFU does not take updates. So when I get the secondary when would be the best time to submit it: After midterms late September or after finials Late November? If I only get one shot at this I want to make it count.

Sorry, I didn't know that the last dates they sent you were in October. You may ask about getting a later date, but in my own opinion (not connected to admissions at all) the earlier you interview the better. The interviewers will be meeting a lot of applicants who have similar numbers, activities, etc. The earlier you interview, the easier it is to stick in their minds and impress them.

They send II's in batches? I was didn't know they did this, is this common with all schools?

i think hms does it that way...and it does seem like a lot of ppl are posting that they got interviews on the same day...and then there is a few days off...and back...but maybe i'm reading too much into SDN posts. there are some schools that seem to be inviting more frequently though....

RFU interviews very few OOS compared to some other schools so I wish I was further along the process already! so far still not small pooled but not rejected yet either thankfully :xf:

I don't think they would mind too much. It's at least not going to hurt you to ask. The only drawback would be that you'd be interviewing later so since it's rolling admission you'd be considered later.

You were right. They were very understanding, gave me the November dates, and told me to pick my top 3. 😀

how long does it take them to get back to you with your official date to interview?

made my request on friday D:

I was supposed to just hit reply to the II email and list my top 3 right? ahhh

I was glancing through your posts. Why did you retake your 34?
