my letter of evaluation form and legal disclosure form arrived at IU on 8/5 and weren't marked complete until today so idk if that may help others who are worrying about their complete status

Thank you! Idk when mine arrived, but I mailed them all out more than 2 weeks ago and when I checked today all of my forms but the deans eval were marked received finally. 🙂
Hopefully my deans eval will be marked received soon as well; I had to mail it to my undergrad first so I understand the delay there.

Everything has been received and indicated by green check marks. It took a few weeks until this happened, so I would definitely wait and see!
Interview invite! First one! OOS, 27 MCAT, 8/9 retake (didn't feel well about it :-/). 3.63 GPA, also a minority. Requested Indianapolis site, I wonder how to put the committee letter on the eval form though, since I only know who drafted it.

9/4 Interview at Indy campus too! and I also have my "Dean of student evaluation" still missing. That's the one component that I did not personally send because my school was suppose to sent it out. I was told they sent it out like three weeks ago already thou....

I'm in the same boat; I wouldn't worry too much about it yet. You can always call IU if you want, but they're likely going slower with those forms since they take longer to be returned (coming from people's undergrads and all).
If it's still not marked received next week then worry.

Probably a lot of people interview simultaneously; last year I think it was said that 50-100 people interviewed on each Indianapolis interview day (then again, a friend told me last year there weren't as many campuses to interview at--so maybe less will be interviewing per day at Indy this year?).

I don't think you mail your transcript to any school unless you get accepted and matriculate...call the office to be sure, but you definitely don't need to send it in before the interview at the very least.
All that needs to be in before the interview: the dean's form, the letters form (and the letters themselves), and the legal form.

really? this is what it says in my email regarding my interview on 9/4.
"If you have completed additional course work since your initial application, please have your registrar send a transcript prior to your interview. The Admissions Committee asks that you have as many of your evaluations and references as possible in your folder before your interview."
My Spring grades weren't in when I submitted my AMCAS in early June!

Ohhhhh are you on a quarter or trimester system? In that case you definitely should send a transcript in soon; my apologies for my previous post--I was on the semester system so my transcript with my spring grades was ready to be sent to AMCAS by mid-May.
Idk where you send it...maybe the address where the letters/deans/legal forms were sent?
Yeah, I just sent my transcript to the same address. Don't have any reason to believe it would be any different.

"My interviewer explained it to me like this: each applicant can be awarded points (up to 200) including interview scores; the files are assembled with the most points on top, so that's how they are reviewed. After each interview day, more files are added to the list, with the most points on top.... so that's how someone who interviews in September might not hear anything til May."
(I think the interview is out of 100, if I remember correctly from reading somewhere)
"Please keep in mind that just because Indianapolis is the most popular campus, there is no loss of educational opportunity at the satellite campuses. IUSM has a statewide curriculum. No matter what campus you are assigned you are being taught by IU employees or IU approved employees. Many of our satellite campuses actually have new facilities, and smaller classes which allow for a more personal connection between faculty and students. Unlike Indy, which is a traditional large lecture where it is more difficult, though not impossible, to have intrapersonal connections. My interview was at 3:45 so I had to sit outside someone's office for 45 minutes getting even more nervous before my interview started. I had 2 interviewers, they were both very nice but they were hard to read and kept the conversation very "professional." I did not have the same experience that others have mentioned. I found my questions a little more difficult and the interview did not have a "conversational feel." My interview lasted 45 minutes, and they asked me pretty much every "expected question" along with some unexpected ones. Whenever I answered, they both just nodded and wrote down notes. I was very nervous and I think it showed, but hopefully they understand that everybody is nervous and it's rarely a person's real comfortable self that they get to see. I don't know if they actually read my entire application beforehand because I was expecting them to ask more specific questions about my activities, etc, but instead all the questions were generic, why medicine, etc.. or about my grades."

TL;DR: You will get either (1) heavily drilled by tons of ethical questions without any feedback (positive or negative) from interviewers who have great poker faces, or (2) very laid-back, friendly interviews where they want to get to know you.
It's open file, but interviewer(s) probably often didn't read much about your stuff, so mention about your unique ECs whenever you have a chance. But if you are asked about ethical questions about competencies and what you would do in certain scenarios, you will probably be unable to highlight your activities much. Cross your fingers, everyone.
3) Miscellaneous
a. Eat beforehand, no lunch lunch will be provided. Just snacks will be around.
b. There used to be a really nice, 2-min-walk-from-interview hotel (University Place Hotel) but it's now a dorm, so expect to book your hotel quite far away.
c. Call the hotel to see if they can hold on to your luggage(s) during the interview day
d. Adcoms will meet only once a month (15th of the month) and they will cover as many files as they can in one day. No news is good news, because you will get acceptance letters and/or 3 e-mails about campus choice, health/immunization-related stuff, and technical standards (which are good news that you want to have post-interview), but rejections and wait lists tend to happen via e-mail.
e. At Muncie, not much research available for MS1/2, so many med students tend to do shadowing during the summer. Any current med students are welcome to correct me on this.
f. Lottery for Indy campuses happen on May, and ~60% of those who indicated Indy as their first choice will actually get that Indy campus spot. . If you select regional campuses as your first choice, and especially when you are interviewed early, it's almost guarantee that you will get that spot.
g. If you are interviewing in Indy, and if you have a chance, walk around the campus to know some buildings beforehand. Sometimes there are constructions around, so even if you leave early, you might still get to your interview late unintentionally.
h. If your mother is a dentist, expect to answer a question like, "Why not becoming a dentist?"
i. Probably 18th-20th or later during every month post-interview after October, you can probably call the office asking "I am just wondering if you could check my status?" instead of asking "Can you tell me if I am accepted?" In doing so, you will know whether the decision was made before you receive the letter. But sometimes, they won't tell you over the phone, so don't expect to get your answer anyways. But it will be a good try post-interview.
j. No attendance was taken during info session and other sessions. If you are super busy, just attend the interview and you can probably leave. But I wouldn't tell your interviewer saying you have to leave early.
k. I don't know if it was mentioned above already, but each interviewer (or a set of two interviewers for 2:1 interviews) will interview 3-5 in the morning and another 3-5 applicants in the afternoon. So for total, anywhere from 80-100 interviews will be done for each interview day.

II received this morning! my first one! OOS 3.75 sGPA 32 MCAT verified 7/31 no ties to Indiana. Finally some good news. Rejected from Duke, Mayo, University of Washington (pre secondary), hold at GW. Good luck to everyone who has yet to hear / has interviews.

Of those of you who are interviewing with me on 9-4, has anyone's Dean's form been marked as received yet? I wasn't worrying before, but now it's starting to get annoying that the interview is less than 2 weeks away and they still haven't marked that form as received yet (and I sent it out to my undergrad--which is also in Indiana--to be filled out and send along ~3 weeks ago).

1. Given to you and supposedly it is very hard to reschedule an IU interview (they have a very limited # of dates and a lot of people interviewing each day.) Interviews are always Wednesdays, I think, if that helps.
2. Yes! You give your location first (I think in your initial invite email they tell you to email that out asap), then mail your forms in as soon as possible (you don't need to indicate your interview location on any of the forms).
Your interview location will also determine your interview date--a few regional campuses have scheduled interviews for next week already whereas the first Indianapolis interviews don't start til 9-4.

For job title, should we put what their job title in relation to us is? Like Professor or Supervisor or should we put their actual title such as Biology Lab Manager or Manager of XYZ?
For course title did you put PHYS 101 or Introduction to Blah Blah Blah
