I haven't heard anything yet. 3.5/36 and complete 7/24
Also rejected, 31 MCAT. Did anybody NOT get rejected?
I'm still under review, fingers crossed. I'm actually looking forward to September when classes start and I have something else to focus on besides refreshing my email every 2 seconds...lol. This process is so random. Also rejected, 31 MCAT. Did anybody NOT get rejected?
When were y'all complete?

so I don't think any put this up yet but for our incoming 2017 class the stats were 33/3.51 avg. take with that what you will.
classes just started a few days ago but I plan on lurking around and answer any questions someone who has been in classes for 4 days can (though there are some upper classmen on here that are probably better than me for this)
+1
First rejection of the season. Bummer 🙁
THIS!!Aaaaand rejected. I thought my first rejection would be rough, but after reading this thread I sort of saw it coming. 31 MCAT. Looks like Tulane is WAY more selective than I thought given the range of people/stats getting turned away
how are people checking their status? I submitted about a week ago and whenever I log back into the secondary web page it just says "thanks for registering!"
why tulane? over other schools you got into (assuming you did)
rejected 8/9
didn't feel too genuine answering the secondaries, so not surprised. bummed i spent the money, but oh well.
Sorry to hear! When were you complete? I thought I saw you in other forums with interviews so congrats on those : )
It seems like with medical schools it really is about the right fit 🙂i guess schools either love or hate my app 🙂
well first off, it was my only choice (I was waitlisted at two others including my top choice school). I eventually decided to end my waitlist purgatory in june and decided on tulane.
why? it is a great school, in a unique city, in a region of the country I have never been before, and I had tons of fun on second look. the students here are very laidback and legitimately want to help everyone do better it seems (especially since the first two years are Pass/Fail...and thats legit pass/fail not honors/high pass/ pass/ fail). would I have preferred my top choice over tulane....probably but I also love tulane and know that it is going to be awesome. also it is nice to have a class where the majority of people have been out of undergrad for at least 2 years because there is at least a little bit of increased maturity among all of us.
hope that answers that question.
II today! Boy I'm going to be cutting it close though with another interview a couple days later.
II 😀. I'm so excited to see Tulane! I've never been to New Orleans. Anyone else on Sept. 16th?
Yep, in the email it says MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2016! lol
Are y'all with IIs applying ED?
Do we know what % of interviews they accept?
The acceptance rate post-interview is relatively high, something like 75%-80%. I believe most everyone else is placed on the waitlist (acceptance range) if not accepted immediately. However, there was not any waitlist movement this past cycle. Not a single individual from the 2017 class was pulled from the waitlist, in fact, they increased the class size due to a slight over-enrollment.
The overall acceptance rate is closer to 3% when you look at total applicants, I believe.
For those who got interviews today-- congratulations!! Tulane is an outstanding school and a truly wonderful place to be.
Also, it was easily my most relaxed interview throughout the entire interview season.. just to put minds at ease 🙂
II today for 9/20! Didn't give an option to reschedule the interview. Is there anyone else out there with jobs with some advice on how to manage multiple interviews during the week? spread them out over a couple months? I don't think my job will be too happy with me leaving multiple times within one month.
