EDIT: If you need a hotel, I suggest the Best Western Plus. I checked out the day of my interview but they still let me store my bags during the day, picked me up after the interview, and dropped me off at train station.

They definitely have a lot more applicants compared to the numbers on msar! :meh:
 
Whoa MSAR said there were about 1200 OOS and maybe half IS IIRC

II here on August 8th! Complete around 7/12. 5500 is a ton of applications for this time of year, good luck everybody!
 
I bet a lot of people saw MSAR numbers and thought this school would be less competitive, decided to send in apps en masse, essentially making it more competitive. 5500 secondaries by August is crazy, especially since they're planning on handing out 500-600 IIs.
 
I think MSAR used the year before's numbers. Their stats match up to what's reported for class of 2017, according to the Quinnipiac page.
 
Hmm 5500 that doesn't seem right, does that count rejections?
 
Got a secondary 7/29/14. Can't submit it yet b/c my committee has not set it's letter. 🙁 (Yes, I've tried to send without it 🙁.)
 
Did you try firefox? I couldn't submit mine in explorer without the committee letter, but it went through using firefox.
 
It's been almost a month that Quinn has not received 1 of my letters from AMCAS. I emailed them and they said there was a glitch but I have not heard back nor has the problem been fixed. Anyone have the same problem?
 
Does the fact that they aren't accredited do anything? Hopefully their first classes sees great match results in 2017! 🙂
 
Ahhh, I submitted on 7/15. I hope I hear something soon.
 
I am on the verge of rescinding my app. I put Netter as my one and only school to be able to submit my primary. My LizzyM score is >65. Mcat really killed my chances of applying pretty much anywhere else, you guys think I would just throw in a hail mary app in and just retake the mcat early for an early submission next year?

If you have submitted the primary, you will be re-applicant next year anyway. You have nothing to gain by withdrawing your application at this point.
 
For those of you who have interviewed, can you PM me or post information on where to stay? I'm looking for a place that has a shuttle service to and from the University.
 
You can go to their website, they have all the information you need there. I stayed at the first one they have on the list, which is the Best Western Plus North Haven Hotel, and they drive you to the school, which is really close.

I have an interview Sept 29th. I am flying in to BDL on the 14th and leaving the 16th. I have rented a car to explore the area and am wondering if there is anyone for that same interview day that would like to join me.

Wait. If your interview is for the 29th, why are you flying in the 14th? Did you mean to say your interview is on the 15th?
 
Does the school send out "complete" emails (the ones that follow-up after secondary submission saying something along the lines of your app 'is currently being reviewed')? Or just the email that affirms your secondary has been submitted?

I don't think I received anything. I just checked my status online and saw that I was complete a week after sending in the secondary.

The last I have from them is "Secondary Submitted" and a receipt from AMP support.

If you click on the status tab on the secondary website it should say "your application is ready" idk if that means complete but I would assume so.

Yup, that's what it says. I'm assuming it means complete, too.

There are no "complete" emails. The last one I received from them was an email saying my secondary was submitted. As other people have already mentioned, the status of the application will eventually say "application is ready." If they select you for a II, they will send you an email. Hope that helped.
 
For being a new school, Frank H. Netter seems to be really popular. Anyone know why? I have to admit though, I'm pretty excited for this school as well! For me, I think it is the fact that they seem very student oriented. Looking at their faculty, it also looks like they put together a talented and experienced faculty.
