So who here with an interview tomorrow has been absolutely reamed by flight delays today? I'm currently 4 hours delayed with another 2 on the horizon...

No II, but I live close by. There was some horrendous weather today, and it looks like the temperature will be low enough to freeze water tomorrow.

However, I don't think you will have any problem travelling on major roads tomorrow.

Good luck on your interview!

Thanks! Well I'm flying into JFK from LAX so it's estimated that I arrive at 11pm. Then I have to drive for another two hours...on the bright side I'm so glad that Quinnipiac starts at 11am rather than earlier like most schools.

I've always heard it quinn-uh-pee-ac...except for my boyfriend, who seems to think it's 'quinn-a-pick' -_-;

Actually now I think yours is closer to how it is pronounced. I'll edit my post.

Quinn-a-pick is great, I'll have to use that next time I hear about the school.

My husband always says "Quinn-a-pac". So confusing. ...on another note--anyone know if the committee met yesterday? Think recent interviewers will hear today...?

If we don't hear anything by noon is it safe to assume we didn't make the last committee meeting? I've heard decisions are sent via email before the afternoon

Pre-II reject just now. Pretty nice rejection as far as those things go. They even slipped in a line about possibly reapplying in June.

Part of me is tempted to ask when you were complete, but another part is saying "well, this is all a crapshoot and that probably doesn't mean anything."

I was complete in Sept. and haven't heard a peep since I submitted my secondary.

One more pre-II rejection here to add to the pile 🙁. Oh well. Good luck to everyone else.

does the provisional accreditation have any impact on HPSP? I don't believe it does (I feel like they would have told me not to apply here if that's the case), but I just wanted to confirm before I withdraw acceptances elsewhere. (Also, are there any current HPSP students at Q?)

I think you're okay as long as you're army or navy. Air force may require you to be accepted at a fully accredited school.

I'm not sure - I just remember seeing something about it on another feed. I would just call them and confirm before giving up other acceptances.
The HPSP isn't branch specific. While each branch will have different logistics (bonus, duty requirements/stations, etc) based on available funding and needs of the branch, the HPSP is a program general to the three eligible military branches. If the Army will allow you to attend a school the Air Force will as well.

Good to know - thanks for the clarification.

Does anyone know if Quinnipiac has a policy on deferring enrollment for a year once accepted?(for extenuating circumstances)

MSAR says requests for deferred admission ARE considered. That's all I was able to find.

Accepted! Interviewed on Monday. I really liked the school and people. (Also lunch was good). The interviews were relaxed- I just had good conversations with interviewers.

I'm oos, LizzyM 72. Submitted my secondary in December. I do not recommend applying so late, but I am grateful that the school gave me a chance despite my late application.

Also accepted this morning! Like Krispy Kreme, interviewed on Monday (quick 4 day turn around). OOS 33 MCAT, 3.7 GPA undergrad, 4.0 GPA post-bacc. Complete late August
So ecstatic! Faculty, med students, and staff are all so nice and enthusiastic.

Watilisted after interviewing on 3/6. I am hoping for some luck while on the waitlist, I really loved this school! Congrats to all those who recently were accepted!

Waitlisted as well. Interviewed in late February, Lizzy 69-70

Congrats to you that were accepted! I had a very good vibe at this school. I will be withdrawing my acceptance, so I hope it goes to one of you still waiting 🙂.

Can I spam your Facebook group to advise administrators not to trash talk the schools programs?

Is this school done with II's or is it one that goes into April a bit?

Officially rejected via email just now. So either way they must be wrapping up finally. And yes I am responding to my own question.
