Screening complete email and II today. Interviewing 10/8. Anybody know the stats on what percentage of people with interviews get admitted?

OOS 25% based on last years MSAR stats

Edit: This is better than my state school at 22%. >10k applications last year with ~300 interviews. An accomplishment in itself! ;o)

would like to know too, this is the only part msar sucks at!
msar says they marticulate about 80 so if they over accept by 2.5 maybe they would accept like 200 out of about 300 interviewed...but i'm just guessing 🙂

Anyone know anything about the interview format for this year?

II today after the primary screening email as well! Based on earlier posts, I take it CMS does not have a host program? Anyone else interviewing 10/20 and would like to share a taxi/car?

I'm interviewing 10/20, but I get in on the 19th evening!

I received my in primary screening/wait for 4-6 weeks on 7/18 and I have heard nothing since then. Should I contact them??

Where are you guys getting your info from? According to http://www.rosalindfranklin.edu/Degreeprograms/AllopathicMedicine/Class.aspx the class size is 190 students and according to http://www.rosalindfranklin.edu/Degreeprograms/AllopathicMedicine/FAQ.aspx they interview 5-10% of all applicants and they received 10,046 applicants. So that would mean they interview 502-1,005 applicants, which would mean the percentage of those interviewed who get accepted is 40-75%. Unless I'm missing something?

Maybe the MSAR? I know USNews reports #interviewed/accepted/matriculated, but I'm a poor grad student and would much rather put the ~20$ toward coffee. Most schools are around 50%, so I would plan on that.

It's better to spend our time prepping for the interview than trying to figure out the stats behind it 🙂

There are applications and then there are applications. Apparently lots of students submit primaries to many schools, but don't end up completing them. Sometimes they don't complete the secondary or their LOR's never show up, so they're not complete. Could be that Rosie interviews 5-10% of all the applicants who complete their applications...

Not to mention many apply to med school who are clueless and way off in terms of stats experiences etc

I fly in on the morning of the 19th, but perhaps we'll meet at the interview if you're in the morning session!
oh no! I'm in the afternoon session 🙁 I wanted to sleep in if I can!

So I just received the informational email regarding the interview. I know the format will be MMI but I was wondering if we have another traditional interview before or after MMI. I know most schools with MMI have one other traditional interview with faculty. Any people who's already interviewed here can shed some light?

The day isn't just MMI interviews and then you leave if that's what you mean. There's a student panel, a meal/meet and greet, and a school info overview session. But you will not sit down one on one with a member of the faculty for an extended interview.

Question: So when I was picking interview times two days ago, the earliest I could interview was on November 12th, even though in the email correspondence they sent, they had dates ranging from September 24 - December 15th. Does that sound about right?

For those who have interview on 9/24, anyone wants to split a ride from Midway to Days Inn Lake Bluff? I'm booking a shuttle for pick up at Midway around noon on 9/23. I can take up to 2 more people to split the cost! PM me!!!

Congrats on all the recent II guys and gals! Would those of you who got invites in the last week or two mind posting their complete dates? I see that many of you got the primary screen complete email just before you got the II, is this about right?

Hey all, sorry if this has already been addressed, but has anyone else gotten this email?:

Doesn't look like a primary screening email, but not sure what I should make of it. Thanks!

I received it on the 17th. I think it's just telling us it might be a while until we hear anything. Not sure if it is good, bad, or indifferent.

Make nothing of it. The only information from the school that should remotely concern you is an interview invitation; all other communication should be ignored.
