PM wouldn't work for me either, but I'm flying in to O'hare on the 19th and I'll be getting in around 11am. We could definitely share a taxi if that's convenient and probably explore the city a bit.

i'm in the 12:00-4:30 session on the 20thand was hoping to split a ride back to O'Hare after.

The AAMC dictates when schools can first release decisions. I think the date is sometime in late October. In the past, admissions met once a month to come to decisions, but that may have changed with the MMI format.

If that is still the case, if your interview was prior to the meeting, you were likely looked at and will be notified of your status during the next wave of notifications. That could be acceptance, rejection, a wait list decision (which is a "we haven't decided yet" list), or an alternate list decision, which is CMS's version of the traditional "wait list." But again, that may have all changed with the changes in admissions here. Best of luck everyone!
 
Does anyone know if there are interviews on October 22 or October 24? My II (yeah!!) says as soon as October 20, but then the actual dates are not until November 21. I am living abroad this year and flying in for a different II next week and looking to combine.
 
And I should update--very happy to receive an II today. It was a long road. I received my 2ndary early July, submitted on 7/13, was complete on 7/28, received the primary complete 10/1, and an II today, 10/14. I have about 65 LizzyM with extensive healthcare background. Very few interview dates when I scheduled-email said October 20 and November 12 in invite, but those were gone. Soonest date was November 21, latest December 15. I really wish everyone the best of luck!
 
Totally did not expect to get an II but i got it today! Anyone know convenient places to stay around the school or if there are any student hosts available?

Unfortunately, student hosting is a thing of the past; the program was discontinued by the administration last year.

There are a few hotels in the area; I would suggest the Motel 6 on Green Bay Road; I believe rooms there go for $50 apiece.

E-mail the office; if they have a cancellation, they may be able to let you know. Otherwise, you're probably stuck. The number of interview days has been reduced now that the MMI format has been instituted.

Yes-I did email. Doesn't look like calling is an option from all the materials?
 
II! Sweet, so I'm guessing it's better to fly into O'Hare? Any hotel recommendations?
 
Shocked and thrilled to have received an II today. The email said dates were open through October-December but the earliest I could choose was November 21. Ended up going with December 1. Does anyone with a US News subscription know the interview/acceptance rate? (Not the interview/matriculation posted on MSAR)

Just received an interview invite today! Very excited about visiting this school. I am interviewing the 21st of November....has anyone heard anything about this MMI format or what kinds of questions/stations are set up?

It depends on if you were planning on trying to see Chicago. If so, Midway might be a bit easier with regard to a commute to Chicago. But if you're just flying in and flying out, Ohare is closer. The schools website has a list of discounted hotels for interviewees.

Still waiting, in previous years CMS has lagged behind other schools in sending the first batch of notifications (October 29th). Was kind of hoping this year would be different with the new interview format and all but alas, it seems as though we will be waiting a few more weeks.
 
Hi! I'm interviewing 11/21 and plan on flying in the day before and get a hotel. Anyone else interviewing then and want to split hotels or travel? Yay!!

Yeah sure ! I am flying from NYC and was looking into hotels tonight along with my flight.

They require all interviewees to sign a confidentiality agreement regarding the MMI so you won't get this answered

Interview slot opened up for this coming Monday 10/20 - I grabbed it so I will be flying in on Sunday - who else is interviewing with me? Does anyone want to explore Chicago/chill the day before the interview?

Never call it over until the season is actually over...you very well may get 4 more in the first week of April. This process is a long one with many twists and turns along the way.

How do you view slots that are open? Doesn't it jeopardize your own time slot to go into the calendar to see?

I understand that there's a confidentiality agreement, but I'm not asking for specific questions, I'm only asking about the format of the MMI stations (ie. ethical Qs, actor, group, etc).
