Also got the deferred email today :/ Was really hoping to get an acceptance here since it's my first choice. Anyone have some acceptance statistics for those of us in the deferred boat?
Based on last years thread, either means waitlist or rejection. Most decisions coming around trafficking time. Also got the deferred email today :/ Was really hoping to get an acceptance here since it's my first choice. Anyone have some acceptance statistics for those of us in the deferred boat?
I was complete in July, sent an update in October and January, and have sent like 3 in the area notices haha. I applied md/mph so idk how that plays in but yep loooooong silence for me tooStill nothing at all since I was complete in August....sent an update in December...mmm anyone else in the same boat lol? This is the only school I haven't heard back from which would make any impact in the game for me at this point.

Thanks for sharing this! I don't know if it came up, but do you know if this applies to both the Regular & Maine tracks or merely the Regular track? Thanks!I debated posting this at all, but I decided that false hope is the greater of two evils. I have it on extremely good authority that the Tufts adcom has had a "higher yield" of interviewed applicants this year, and that deferement is for all intents and purposes a tacit rejection. This source expressed doubts that, given the current pace of things, that they'll draw from the deferrement pool in any significant way. I'm as dejected as you are.

What do you mean "higher yield"? Looking back at this whole thread, I don't see a single waitlist (granted I don't see any rejections either). I'd like remain as optimistic as possible. I assumed that, but it's still two months out from trafficking and many haven't received fin aid. Color me skeptical, but I'm not ready to believe anonymous good authority.Guessing they mean that more people that tufts accepted are saying yes and staying that way.

Still not rejected yet... why?
Saving the best for last I hope lol. I survived each round of pre-II rejections and I am asking the same question.
I think so, but don't quote me on it. "Deferred" is way too nebulous for my liking. Whenever someone reports getting rejected, I cringe a little for their sake and mine.has there been any rejections post interview? or has it all been accept/deferred?
I have to think that anything can fly. They've rejected folks pre-ii which is new for them. If no one has been rejected or wait-listed yet, I can't see "deferred" as a flat rejection for all. The school is expensive and I know folks who have been accepted here and other schools, not everyone is going to end up here.I know someone has probably mentioned this somewhere in this thread, but this seems like a very harsh application year. Every school I've interviewed at has said that they have an almost unprecedented number of applicants.

If what @The Tower said about a deferred decision is true, then I will be immensely sad. I really like the school. Each rejection round I make it through gives me more hope, though.
Hey Tufts,
I wanted to thank you for keeping me around this long. I know it's getting late and you may have already moved on from me, but I wanted to let you know that I'm still here. Say the word and I'll be ready to show up at our date whenever you will have me. All I ask for is a chance!
Best,
srirachaking
Eh, I'll take the fifth, if that's open.P.S: Your friendly neighborhood Mellow Yellow would love to be a third wheel.
Not there yet, complete since mid-July. One of the last two decision that I am waiting for.Ah, finally rejected pre-interview. I had kept my hat in the ring to see what would happen as I was waitlisted last year, but I am not surprised.
Tufts and Stanford rejection within an hour of each other.
I got both this am too (Tufts just now). boooooooTufts and Stanford rejection within an hour of each other.
Well it is one of the top 10 most applied to med schools.....Me too. Receiving an interview is so random
Rejected pre interview as well, FINALLY. Honestly laughed when I got the email. "Thanks guys! And same to you!"
They send it to everyone post-interview... But get it filled out quick since priority deadline is 2 weeks from today.I am deferred status and just received financial aid information request from Tufts....maybe they know something I don't.
