Did you also get an email right before that stated you were incomplete? I was confused at first then 2 minutes later the completed file email came.

edit: Submitted 7/7, my letters weren't uploaded until 7/14.

No I did not get any incomplete email. They have been silent on me since 7/16 when I submitted my secondary until now.
 
Just got this from MCW:

"Thank you for completing your application for MCW Medical School. Your completed file is currently under review. The Admissions Committee reviews applications based on completion date. Applicants will be invited to interview until we have secured our incoming class and alternate list. Please note that the Office of Admissions will not accept updates to your application until you have been invited to interview. All final decisions will be communicated via email."

Is this an official invite to the 'small pool'?

Submitted 7/1, just received the under review e-mail @2015istheYear, I don't think so. I'm not sure if this is the case for you but I had 1/2 up until just now. So I think it's just a completion email.
 
Don't think it's a small pool email (I think we get a separate one from that in a week or two)
 
🙁 MCW, really now. Secondary submitted 7/6, no complete email. Every time I log in and scroll down to the something/2 status I'm like :eyebrow: then 😡 and now no complete email? +pissed+
 
Yeah I'm really confused as to what's wrong with their system. I submitted my secondary July 6, have been 1/2 for the longest time even though I submitted all of my letters to AMCAS early June. Hoping I get a complete email soon. This is one of my top choices
 
I've been 2/2 for a while now, and just got the "finish your secondary!" then "you are now complete" email combo. Either way... Progress!

We are in exactly the same situation. So frustrating! I honestly feel like my school's premed advisors should have said something along the lines of, "Submit as early as possible, but don't expect that to necessarily make a difference" instead of "Submit early! You will get reviewed based on how early your app is complete, so don't delay!" What is the point if they go out of order...
 
I'm glad to know everyone is in the same boat! I got the complete email and an email saying that I was still incomplete within a minute of one another. My application has said 2/2 for weeks now. I was definitely panicking a little, hopefully we hear back about interviews soon and the system isn't so screwy for that process!
 
Mine has said 0/2 since I submitted on 7/2, and I just now got the complete email. I called and they said they're updating their system, so things are a little wonky, and what it says doesn't reflect what they have. As long as it's in AMCAS, you're fine.

Still no secondary for me. Admittedly added at the start of August

I know! I just emailed them right now. Hopefully they don't get annoyed lol.
 
I submitted 7/10. Got the "Reminder: Your secondary is not complete" email today.

1 minute later, I got the "Your application is under review" email.

hrm.

I just got the reminder secondary is not complete email too because they have been too lazy to pull my LOR's from Amcas. unfortunately they don't like to answer their phones either so I guess i'll just wait until monday.

Yeah same I got the incomplete email after the under review email. bummer!

But yeah I have some database experience and yeah databases are really tricky and sometimes "scripts" do some weird things that you don't intend. If you miss one "loop" your done for, and that stuff is hard to catch

But yeah when in doubt call and politely confirm and what the issue was 🙂

I've called several times about fee waiver problems. They are very good at answering emails and returning voice messages. Phone calls, not so much but they've picked up a few times. 🙂
 
Did you also just get a "incomplete" email AFTER getting a 'complete/under review' email? This is freaking me out!
 
I'm finding it difficult to say anything meaningful about "Why MCW?" in 1,000 characters, but I guess they decided they don't want anything too deep after adding essays for the first time last year! Time to submit 🙂

Well, maybe if you find it difficult to articulate "Why MCW", it is not a great school for you...

Good question and one that I also considered when writing this secondary. I have no desire to practice rural medicine, but I do have a passion to work with the underserved urban population. Because 'underserved' has so many definitions, there is no implication from not applying to the other campuses.

There's a lot of things I like about it! I just kept changing my mind between focusing in-depth on one aspect or covering them all more generally
 
Finally 2/2 (submitted 7/3, e-mailed them last week to confirm letter status/website glitch)
 
I'm finally complete as well, even though I had everything in on 7/22. I did not receive an email about my change in status.
 
Complete yesterday. I submitted on 7/3, I believe. I wonder how they will review applicants in order after this situation. Any ideas?
 
I submitted two days ago and am also complete, so who knows what order this is going in
 
Also received the complete email ("actually" complete during the first week of July). The email says they will review based on completion date, but I wonder if that means the date you received the complete email, or...? Oh well. I guess there's nothing we can do now. Happy to wait for a spot in the small pool.

Ah I didn't know there was an email involved. I haven't gotten that yet! My status on the portal is just all filled out 2/2, etc.
 
@starlite911, yes, it is titled "MCW Application Under Review" but it talks about how your app is complete and under review. I never received this second incomplete email that others have mentioned, but it seems like if you got both emails, you got them last week and it was a glitch. I got the email yesterday and only received one, so I'm guessing they fixed the glitch.

I didn't get the email either. I just logged in and noticed that it showed 2/2 instead of 1/2.
 
Received the Application under review email on 8/7. Have not received and II yet 🙁 Hopes are high though..
