2015-2016 Rosalind Franklin University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Man... judging from the number of On Hold people so far... it looks like the October interviewees will get pushed back too. NOOOOOOOO lol

Ok so the office closes in like 30 minutes and I still haven't heard anything.

Grrrr

Acceptance and Rejects at 430? or just acceptance? I was the first regular decision and havent heard anything. CMS is my top choice!

Waah! Still radio silence for me 🙁. I saw a fellow 9/18 interviewee had a decision today though! Maybe there's hope for tomorrow.

Congrats everyone!!! So happy for all those accepted. Finally getting some news. 🙂

Lol, I havent even gotten an II here yet. "still under review"

Accepted today, interviewed 09/18

OOS
3.6 GPA, 31 MCAT
Re-applicant

Will be declining acceptance after getting into first choice state school. Good luck to everyone else!

Any advice for housing? I know there is student housing, private apartments right by school, and an army base right by campus.

Our tour guide told us that the student housing was pretty nice and moderately priced. The army (navy?) housing was the cheapest, however you get what you pay for with those. I don't remember anything about off campus housing but I would assume those have the potential to be the nicest. He did say that he preferred the student housing because it was close to the school, which made for easy commuting and studying and whatnot.

They also mentioned an off-campus housing complex called "woodlands" that was super close to campus as well that seemed like a happy medium between student housing and the navy housing, pricewise.

I feel like the rest of us that interviewed from late September to early November will hear back during the 1st week of December. Bets are on!!!

I knew there was a third one, but couldn't remember. Thanks!

that would be awesome!! and approx. 4 weeks from when i interviewed too! lol

Just wanted to give you guys some advice post interview. Few will be admitted. Few will be rejected. Many will be waitlisted. It's because it's so early in the cycle. If you haven't heard back, it's not that they forgot about you. Just remain productive and try not to think about it as it is no longer in your hands.

Is it more likely for someone who gets wait-listed early to ultimately get accepted compared to someone who gets wait listed later? I know there is an "unranked" wait list, so presumably unranked means first on the list, first to get off? But for some reason I don't think it works like that.

Also, would an acceptance for someone wait listed early be more likely to come with the release of subsequent decisions, or something one would find out much later in the season as people are withdrawing from acceptances? Thanks for any insight. It is much appreciated!

@AndrésBay
Their alternate list is in fact unranked. This means that after interviews are over and they have given out all initial decisions they go back and re-evaluate everyone on the alternate list. It is at that time that you get ranked on the list. I don't think getting put on the list early has any effect on your final rank.

How was it sent, by email or phone? Thanks!

THE DECISIONS ARE STILL COMING YOU GUYS!
Got mine at 6:25pm
Decision: Accepted!!! (First one so I'm dying right now)
Interview: 9/18
Stats: undergrad GPA: 3.51, grad (all science) GPA: 4.0, MCAT: 32

Is it fair to call them if it has been 10+ weeks since the complete email?

Well, let us know if you do call... I got the "complete" email about 14 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since

Guys, honestly you have to get used to the idea of settling in for the long haul. You could not hear anything for another 3 months and get an II. I just got an II from MCW yesterday, after nothing since July! Don't worry too much, it's happening!

How did you know the On Hold numbers? Did RFUMS disclose that info already?

Patience is a virtue.

On interview day the admins said if you don't get accepted, rejected, or waitlisted, you get put on hold. Being put on hold here just means they ran out of time before getting to your file. So I meant that judging from the amount of September interviewees on hold here on SDN, they may not get to all the October files for the next release date. I pray to god I am wrong though!!
