2015-2016 Rosalind Franklin University Application Thread

I completed my II on 9/23 but have yet to be updated (despite the application complete email saying to wait 8-10 weeks for an update). Should I contact the school regarding this? Or continue to be patient (or at least try to).

According to last year's thread, they hardly pulled anyone off of the wait list and it didn't start moving until July. Hopefully this year is different!

I would just add that SDN is not a reliable source for that info... Most people do not actually post in this thread, right right? 😉

Same deal with me. I contacted them and they basically told me to keep waiting

just to clarify, II doesn't mean secondary. II = interview invite.

Congrats to everyone just accepted!! I also interviewed 11/16 but I haven't heard back yet... eeep so nervous!! From last year's schedule, I'm guessing they'll send out another round of acceptances on the 17th (although maybe not because of the waitlist acceptances?).
 
Congrats to everyone who got accepted off the wait list!! I was wait listed two weeks ago and I hope to be hearing some good news soon too. Congrats everyone! 🙂
 
And rejected 🙁 Does anyone know with RFU is open to appeals? I have good stats and fit their mission very well. Very bummed about this rejection as it was my top choice and best fit med school.

This is so weird, interviewed in Sept but still on "hold" status.... anyone in a similar boat?
 
Has anyone got a email this afternoon getting accepted off the wait list? I'm hoping they are still rolling out the emails.
 
A student rep called me and she mentioned 40-50 people getting accepted today if anyone is curious.

I've never heard of this ever happening at any school. They reject 11,500 plus people, if they granted "appeals" to those they reject they'd have a lot more staff to hire.

Yes you're right, especially because if I don't get in this year, I'd like to reapply, so I don't want to send an adversarial appeal. Thanks!
 
I have interview in early January not sure I'll be able to make it, how can I change interview date ?
 
I'm trying to figure out if I'm imagining this: during the interview information session, did they say enrolling in the MPH program meant your tuition would be cheaper by $15k per year?

Unless something's changed, enrolling in the MPH program will mean MPH tuition is cheaper. You pay less than what MPH only students pay. CMS tuition remains the same.
 
Just called and they said that they're "hoping to send out decisions in the next few weeks but they're not sure if it will be before the holidays."
It didn't sound like they were all leaving for two weeks.

So basically, we still know nothing haha

I called them, was complete mid August, and they said the committee is still reviewing the applications and are hopeful to send out updates in the next couple of weeks...
