II! I am January 22/23rd as well. Does anyone here know what the reception the night before is like ?
Don't know if it has changed since I was there, but the receptions I have been to took place in the lobby of the Cambria Suites right adjacent to the Riverside campus which includes the medical school. Some current medical students will be there as well as some faculty to answer any questions you may have. Atmosphere is extremely laid back and a finger food buffet is provided. The reception gives you an opportunity to get a feel for the social environment of the school and town and to get out any last minute nerves before your interview (don't worry, the MMI is actually kind of fun in a wierd "I'm applying to medical school" sort of way).

Of course! They sent me an email saying I was complete 11/20. I submitted my secondary 11/01
Does anyone happened to know if VTC is planning to increase their class size for the 2016 entering class? I see that their current classes are quite small!
It's weird. This was the one school I really wanted to attend but in the madness of the application cycle (and schools that have less predictable II offerings), I've more or less completely forgotten about it.

Nope, staying at 40ish students!
They purposely built the school this way and, as far as I know, I believe they are intent on keeping the class size at its current size of around 40 people.
Does anyone know when calls will go out for the Oct/Nov groups?
Sometime this month!
There's little to go off of - in past threads, calls went out as early as Jan 8th but that's all I got.

And yep I'm at the tail end of the alphabet, and I heard around the same time today. So I definitely don't think it's in any particular name order.

As much as I hate to admit it I feel the same way. Looks like it's the waiting game till April for me and you bud. :/

Accepted a couple of days ago. Congrats all!!
First time posting, but I got the email today that I'd be considered again in late April -- they mentioned sending out an update form in their email and I was wondering if anyone knew about the format of that? I worry it might be rigid and it'll be hard to fit in certain extracurriculars...
Does anyone know if they accept pre-II updates?
Siiii! They do. You just send in the text of an email and if you're sending a transcript or something, just attach it to the email.
^Yes. They have one more MMI on February 20th and will be sending out their final round of II's during the last week of January.
Are rejections silent here? Or do they let you know?
I think they save the rejections for after their last interview date. @Okazaki Frag Grenade
Not personal but someone else I know said they received rejection by email. Much earlier in the cycle though.

Nope
It's the last week of January. They are going to be sending out the last bunch of II for February 20th - I am anxiously waiting!

Is the reception mandatory? I'm trying to book my flight..
Reception is not mandatory, but it's fun and a good way to get some interview insight from current students.
wait did they already give out the interviews for feb 20th?!
Does VTC send out acceptances via email or by phone? Or is it different as to whether you are pulled off the waitlist?
I think generally they do both. In my case, they called initially to let me know and then I got an email a couple days later saying basically all of the same stuff.
