Dear Applicant:

Thank you again for applying to the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University(RFUMS). This is a courtesy message notifying you of your current status in the application process. Your application is complete and is currently under consideration by the Admissions Committee at this time. This is a very busy time of year for the Office of Admissions and Enrollment so we ask for your continued patience throughout the process at it can typically take another 4-6 weeks before any decisions regarding interviews will be made.

The Chicago Medical School at RFUMS typically conducts interviews between September through April with all invitations for interviews being sent out via email. Additionally, we do not accept updates to your file unless for the following reasons: Institutional Action, Felony, Misdemeanor or Military Discharge.

My time frame is similar and I haven't heard anything back. It's still earlier and they receive a lot of applications so I'm sure our time will come!

Nope it's just a courtesy email saying they are still in the process of reviewing your app, like it says in the email. Stop trying to find secret codes in straightforward medical school correspondence people! If they decide to give you an II they will tell you! The email means what it says.
 
Looks like interview will be all MMI -- can any current students confirm that? :shrug:
 
I can't remember whether we created login and password info on the secondary. Are people using their AMCAS ID or e-mail, or what, in setting up the interview?
 
And for password, just the personal one or did they send us something?
 
II today. Was anyone able to reserve a spot after September 9th? That's kinda soon and the flight is going to be a lot of $$ 🙁 Thoughts? Also, any advice for MMI? (I'm terrified)

Call Southwest. I got my ticket for 200 one way from the west coast. Not too bad.

I don't know if you are a troll or uninformed but skip lagged is NOT allowed by airlines. I encourage everyone to look up what skip lagged is because you can get yourself banned by multiple airlines if you purposely miss connecting flights. It's also incredibly disrespectful to those who actually need both legs of the flight. Please don't be inconsiderate just to save yourself a little bit of money.

you use skiplagged and they direct you to the airline site and tell you what to look up. but lol @ you for calling me a troll. You can check it out and see it basically just lists flights in order of cheap-ness. Its pretty neat and my friends have used it to fly to SF for 75$. It really just lists which airlines have cheapest flights so you can go on their site and look it up (which is what I did). Southwest was gonna be 430$ but I found United tickets for half the price.

Chill out bruh. Its not that serious. I'm just trying to help.

I did two separate flights since round trip was more pricey. Like I pointed out to my friend above, I found United tickets for half the price of Southwest (I obviously booked on United's site directly but the app helped me search for cheapest flights faster). It's just a tool to use but I guess some people disagree. To each their own I guess.

There's a reason it's called SKIP lagged. The premise behind the website/app is finding the cheapest flights by ditching parts of the flight. While this won't be true for every flight you book, most users won't realize that they are doing just that. If it's worked for you, then I don't have much more to say. I just want to caution others before using it. That's all!

Alright man thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize that was the thing I was just using it as a more convenient search tool. I'll keep an eye out for that in the future. Thanks for letting us know. 🙂
 
Any suggestions on what to do if we can't make the one interview date available? I see there's a waiting list but I don't want to sign up for the current date and then become a no-show if they don't find another spot for me :/

Spoke to admissions a few minutes ago, they are adding Sept 30th and more dates will be available in the near future.

Amazing thank you! Do you know if they are adding this date soon (within a week)? Since our deadline for scheduling interviews is a week

EDIT: Just checked, it's up now for anyone who also couldn't make the original date!

Not sure. I would wait a few days and see what happens. I already scheduled for 9th though. Might as well get it over it before exams start.
