Congrats all who prematched!! And for those who didn't or have not interviewed yet, don't be discouraged!! Most people end up matching and many get off the wait list.

For those who have been accepted, I am a MS1 so PM me if you have any questions I could help you with!

Accepted earlier this evening as well!!! Those who were accepted, are any of you having trouble logging into the portal? I keep getting an error. EDIT: Never mind, fixed it!

Those who haven't been accepted yet, keep the hope up! I hear McGovern is a very match heavy school.

Does anyone know if it's possible to arrange a visit to the school before the rankings submission day if I didn't pre-match? One of the schools I did pre-match to and McGovern are neck-and-neck as far as my rankings go and I was hoping to get one last look at both before I submit my rankings in January.
 
Does anyone know if more prematches will be given out until December of if they only prematch on the 15th? Oh and the likelihood of matching here. This is really my dream school and I'm a little anxious

I did research here. I have a letter from a prof here. I went to college in Houston. My SO and family are here. C'mon adcoms, just let me run my mouth about how I would crush it here. 😉
 
Hi, does anyone know if McGovern is switching to Pass/Fail? I've heard this but haven't been able to find anything substantive.

Also, is there a Facebook group for accepted students?

Nope, it looks like we find out Jan 20th according to the scholarship thing I filled out

I didn't find out until late March last year, they normally wait awhile to give out scholarships.

Oh shoot I was in the UTH thread, I thought i was in the UTMB thread hahaha. Didn't get prematched to UTH
 
Anyone have an idea of how often they give out OOS acceptances? Interviewed 11/16
 
Are acceptances coming out today? The next batch of them?

Same! I feel greedy saying that after I got a few today, but it's the TMC- literally one of the best places to study in the whole world.
Do you know when they stop sending out IIs? We still might have a shot.

Same. I don't get it. Complete silence from Texas schools for me. Everyone always says if you're from Texas you will hear from a Texas school before any OOS school. This is NOT true! Texas has shown me no love.

Tbh, the only time I heard that TX residents don't get accepted OOS was on SDN. Just because a lot of students from TX don't matriculate OOS, doesn't mean they're not accepted. There's def some wisdom on here, but I disagree with that. I have average stats, yet got some OOS love way before TX gave me many IIs. Anyone that reads this thread in the upcoming cycles: Apply OOS if you can.

I don't know for sure but if this helps, the dates available on the calendar were 12/2, 12/14, and 1/6.

I was transmitted around late July but didn't get the application under review email until 8/22. LizzyM ~74.
