I know I'm being a crazy lady but I'm developing anxiety-driven psychosis and genuinely can't stop myself so hello, SDN.

Are PCLT students usually notified later than everyone else? Also, on the 2015 thread (plz don't judge my creepin I told ya'll its psychosis) the calls went out all week, is that something they did away with or could that be on the table for us as well?

I'm not sure about the PCLT question but when I talked to students at the social the day before my interview they expressed that they had gotten calls all week last year so I'd assume we'll be in a similar place. My host did say she never got a call and was accepted so that's apparently also a possibility 😏

um also if people are saying they called throughout the week in previous years... in those years the decisions started coming out on Mondays right? Am I wrong to fantasize that somehow all decisions will be released tomorrow because it would be weird to start calling Friday and then continue through next week? I can't take any more of these multiple-day-decision-release things, I'm going to have a stress-induced MI

They will start calling tomorrow? As in decisions could come out over the span of a few days? UGH

Honestly, I would be totally cool with no schools calling people, just updating via their portals all at once. Calling only seems to heighten the drama

Last year they started calling on a Friday and then picked up on the Monday. Some PCLT people got calls on Saturday, but as far as I can tell no regular MD heard anything over the weekend. They then sent emails monday afternoon/tuesday morning. So it looks like thats whats going on this year as well.

Thank you so much, I genuinely appreciate the clarification. The weekend will still probably suck waiting but it helps me a little to have a better idea of what is going on 🙂
 
So I’m guessing the acceptance calls will extend to next week because they can’t make 310 or however many calls in one day? Will we see a portal change atleast ahead of time?

take this with a grain of salt but according to my bf the lady he talked to said that all emails will be sent and calls will go out tomorrow?? i just got off the phone with him and was like wut thats never been the case but idk. again, i mean she may have just been trying to placate him, or maybe that was just the goal they set for tomorrow, but thats what he relayed to me (not knowing that the thought of being rejected tomorrow somehow sounds way friggin worse than simply not being called with an acceptance)

So I looked at last year's thread and this is what happened:
At Friday around 11 am PST phone calls started going out. They seemed to go on throughout the day (I didn't go through the whole thread that day because people were, understandably, freaking out). I saw some PCLT acceptances over the weekend, but it didn't seem like there were any MDs. Then on Monday acceptance emails went out (at about 9 am PST) and a lot of people got the email without getting a phone call. They might have gotten the phone call later. So it seems like all acceptance emails will be Monday, regardless of if you get your call on Friday. Some of those being accepted will get the call tomorrow, while some will get the email on Monday before the call (or no call at all). I'm guessing the rejections will be a little later because I didn't see any rejections mixed in with acceptances.
 
Anyone know how much the MMI is weighted? I thought i had slid into resigned acceptance of my fate but now I'm freaking out again lol
 
anybody else afraid that they didn't fill out their post-interview survey form, although I remember doing it? Just can't find any kind of confirmation email now

I believe your portal won't say your application is complete and with the committee until you finish that. So if it says that, you're good.

That's what happened last year, so I'm sure that's what he said. Congratulations!

For the rest of us, a lot of people didn't get calls but still got acceptance emails on Monday.
 
So they don't call everyone? That seems strange.
