got an ii today, only two dates available in march. complete in july, OOS, slightly above median stats. Sent an update in mid december - i guess they really work!!

In state applicant, above median stats, submitted September, I feel like I can pretty much kiss the idea of an II goodbye

What if you have no updates in your life? What if you've been doing the same darn thing since the primaries? Does that hurt you

Hey Admin,

Howya? New year but old me. Just wanted to let you know I'm still interested *awkwardness*

Anxious Applicant

I’ve never sent an update to any school throughout this cycle so that won’t hurt you

Hey all, interviewing here this week. I know the faculty interview is open & the student is closed but was wondering what the lengths of each typically is...30 minutes? An hour? Thanks in advance!

To send an update of Fall semester grades, would we just attach an unofficial transcript in pdf form and email admissions/upload on portal?
You can either attach an unofficial transcript or you can just write it in the email that you are sending to admissions

Hi! Yeah so the student interview is 30 minutes, and the faculty may be between 40 min to an hour (sometimes shorter). Good luck for your interview!

Did they usually pull from high priority WL before May?

They may, but most of the movement happens in May. But, there are times when they start pulling earlier than that

You can address it to the Admissions Committee

Hey Chip, you seem to be 'in the know.' Do you have any idea how long it'll be until I hear back from this school? I interviewed in mid-Dec but the billion holidays might have shifted things a bit. Just trying to figure out when I should expect an A or a fat R. I'm hoping/praying it'll be this week.

Usually within 5 weeks. It just depends on when your faculty interviewer can make the committee meetings, which are held weekly on Wednesdays.

Do you know if there've been any meetings in the past few weeks? It sounds like I should expect to hear back by next week and, if not then, by the end of the month. Thank you!

Sending an update to Jeff later this week, looking to include my new positions in my work but outside of that, not much to update on.

Here’s to hoping

Yeah so Dr. Strange is right, it depends on when your faculty interviewer actually makes the meetings. There are usually meetings every week (not including the holidays), so as long as your interviewer makes the meetings soon you should hopefully hear back soon. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Hey y'all! Have any of you heard any post-interview decisions from SKMC today? I interviewed 11/28 and still have not yet received a decision... I had felt almost certain I was going to hear back today but still radio silence 🙁 and I assume the admissions office closes at 5pm

Hi everyone! I just got an interview invitation today and I'm super excited, it's one of my top choices. Can anyone who interviewed here give me some advice or info about the interview day? Anything would be super appreciated, Thanks!

It was a fantastic day with amazing food! There is a short student “interview” that is very laid back and then another interview with facilty. My experiece was very laidback and conversational. My advice is to go through the sdn interview feedback to go through questions asked in the past. Good luck!

Does anyone know the post interview acceptance rate? And also once you get an interview are stats still important or are they mainly judging you as a person at that point?

In terms of interview statistics, they interview 800 for 270 seats. As for your GPA/MCAT, I think once you get an interview invite, they aren't looked at anymore.

If I’m remembering correctly it’s ~50-60%! So pretty good odds
