Right. So this applies to periods of stagnation when you weren't doing anything. You weren't volunteering, working, doing hobbies, etc. "activity" is a substantial word to refer to ongoing commitments. If you transitioned straight out of undergraduate into a volunteer position or employment then there were no gaps as they define it. You're leaving out the word "gap" and instead using it to explain your activities which isn't what the prompt is getting at. But you're right, it's negligible. I was merely suggesting given the language of their prompt, one shouldn't take it upon themselves to write in things that they didn't ask for. Obviously it isn't a make or break it, but since others who haven't turned in the secondary might read this, would be useful for them to understand the prompt correctly.
