i have a day to myself in Cleveland next week, any recommendations for restaurants/attractions/touristy things to entertain myself with while I explore the city??
Art museum is free! If you want to spend money around the art museum there is the botanical gardens and natural history museum. A bit of a walk a ways is the modern museum of art (last time I went it was free but tbh not sure). The zoo you'd need to drive but it's definitely worth it. The aquarium is okay. The science center is more for kids but still cool. Never been to the Rock and roll Hall of Fame but you know I've heard good things about it. And of course there's lake Erie (just don't swim in it I believe we have an advisory). I wouldn't recommend going downtown since Ubers/Lyfts are a bit pricey and there's really not much to see unless you were going for a game or the theater. I mean there are bars but you have those in every city.

II to both programs today! I sent an ITA earlier this week so I guess it worked

If I had one day and limited ability to get out of the area that case is in:

1. Breakfast at Inn on Coventry

2 Spend the day at the Cleveland museum of art (it’s truly world class, this would definitely be the highlight)

3. Few before-dinner Drinks at the Fairmount

4. Mia Bella (if you feel like spending a bit of money), Maxi’s (moderately expensive), or Mama Santa’s (most affordable) for dinner in little Italy

5. Mitchell’s ice Cream for dessert in the nearby location

That would be a nice day and you’d see a good amount of the area immediately around university circle and Cleveland heights where many people live.

Can confirm that breakfast at inn on Coventry is great and Mia Bella is the best for little Italy but is on the more expensive side.

so detailed thank you 😍

does anyone know how scheduling for the university program and college program works if you received ii to both?
On the portal, I only see 1 date available and it says its for the college program. Do they just conduct 1 interview for you and consider you for both programs? thanks~~

You schedule separately. I believe CCLCM interviews on T/Th, but CWRU interviews on M/W/F, so you should be able to schedule them together. Try calling the Case admissions for dates — they may not have made enough available.

II to University Program! Complete 7/29!!
Also for those worried about this, I took like 3 weeks to submit my secondary so their two week deadline is not an automatic reject
whoa they send out IIs at 2am on Sunday??!??!

ITA?

what other schools are in cleveland?
Lmao I actually emailed em saying I was going to be in Ohio during a certain window of time for an interview. I'm not sure how far a school needs to be before you're not in the area anymore

What interview dates were available?

For those that interviewed or current students, I've heard that there is a session where you meet the dean of admission where she goes around the circle to meet each interviewee. Is that just to meet the interviewees or they are being evaluated? lol just out of curiosity haha

She asks you what’s an interesting fact about you. Very casual.

trying to find more information about service/volunteer/working with the underserved but can't seem to find anything on the website. Could any current student or somebody who has more knowledge than me highlight some of these opportunities? thanks!

Has anyone gone to an MSTP interview here and could speak on the experience a bit?

Still worth sending a secondary ?

Already confirmed primary but haven't gotten around to Case, near the bottom of my list as I dont think i have the best chances ahaha. Really would love to attend though. Canadian Medical school application system is non rolling and closed today so I was pretty caught up with that as well.

Im a Canadian, 507 MCAT/3.4 GPA, more than decent ECs, killer personal statement(according to me),research background still volunteering in the lab (Honors thesis + a publication expanding upon it and more findings is in progress) thus would shoot for the college program as well.

II today! question i sent an ITA for a date late in november. none of the dates they gave me would be a good option for when I am also going to be in ohio ( atleast 5 days apart). do you think i can just pick an october date and do two trips or will they expect to me to just pick the date closest to my ITA?
Email or call them and they might be able to provide a date that works with your other trip

I recieved an II from CCLCM, but not from Case Western University Program. How should I go about sending an ITA update to Case Western? For those of you who have done this, did you just send them an email?
