For those who have already attended, how was the social (the night before)?

There’s a social the night before? I haven’t seen any info about that in my interview email/the website about the interview

When is your interview??

Have people been able to get a student host? I haven’t heard anything and am interviewing soon. Do they let you know if they can’t accommodate you or...?

Is your interview this friday?

Who here will be going to the social on Thursday night? If so, see you there (~:

Is anyone who is interviewing Friday staying in town afterwards? I'll be in the area until Sunday with not much to do either Friday or Saturday night.

How long after you completed your secondary and had your file status as "under review" for you to receive an II? Does UC Denver give silent rejections or will they update you also?

Last year I submitted in mid September, went under review in mid october, and got an II 3 days later. Although I was not admitted last year, I'd be stoked to interview here again as I would love to attend this school. This year I submitted in early July, but have not gone under review yet.

Obviously I understand I'm not guaranteed to interview again, but based on the in-person discussions last year, they basically said "if we invite you to interview, we want you". Any current students/affiliates have any commentary on the matter? Is it worth calling the admissions office and inquiring if re-applicants are reviewed on a different timeline?

Good question...I am having a similar experience with another school. Just makes me wonder if I totally stuck my foot in my mouth in the interview last year...

I wouldn't over think it. You're competing against a different applicant pool this year and they like to wait until they have a bigger idea of who all they have applying when they're on the fence about someone. Be patient, no R yet. 🙂

That's the thing...I felt like I nailed the most of this school's interviews last year. Both in the moment and afterwards in reflection I thought I did quite well in the majority of the interviews that day. Even after I received the rejection from them, there wasn't anything I felt I should've done differently.

Out of curiosity, have other applicants that have been rejected pre-II or have received II this cycle seen their status change in the portal from "Complete" to "Under Review"?

I felt the same way about the other school, like it went so so so well. But, who knows. Like @underbaro said, we're up against a different pool this year.

I got II here, and at the bottom of my status screen, the Notes say "Your application is ready, and under review."

Yeah, I see that under the Detail of the "Your Application is Complete" detail, but did you receive a "CUSOM Application Complete - Under Review" status change such as this below from last year?

edit: yes I'm reading a lot into this, but rightfully so.

No mine doesn't look quite like that:

Interesting. This year, my "Your Application is Complete" status was marked immediately upon submission. These inconsistencies are what feed such neuroses. Haha

Cheers on the interview! It's a wonderful school that I would love to interview at again this cycle.

Thanks! Excited for it (tomorrow!). Good luck to you--fingers crossed for you that that II is coming!

Has anyone that interviewed on 09/13 been asked for their preference between the main and Colorado Springs campus?

Might be an odd question, but did any of you who interviewed today stay with a student host and accidentally try to steal your host's roommate's toothpaste this morning? I'm not mad just interested in asking some questions lol!!

Interviewed today, nothing on that toothpaste but I vibed heavy with the sandwiches ngl

anyone else get an in-state interview? I still haven't gotten one and I'm getting stressed....

Everyone, remember that sdn shows you a minuscule sample size of applicants and do not make sweeping judgements based on what you see here. MSAR data shows that CU interviews 28% of in-state applicants, and only 6% of OOS. How much more of an in state preference could you ask for? As a high stat IS applicant who has already interviewed here, they at least did not yield protect me. Have a bit of faith as it is still early in the process. They have only had 2 interview days.

I feel like post-interview im going to be yield protected out, if that’s even such a thing. 🙁
