2019-2020 Drexel

To add about updates. Follows the same rules as above. Don't send them until after a little while has passed, make sure they're meaningful and will add to your file or explain a significant achievement since your application was submitted. You can send more than one via email and they'll add to your file, but more than three would be excessive.

What about letters of interest? Or is it only worth sending letter's of intent? Should these be addressed/sent to the general admissions email or directly to the dean?

Both are fine. I personally address them to the general admissions email but some have sent them directly to the dean. Would love to see what others think about sending letters directly to the dean.

II this morning! I'm beyond thrilled. Unfortunate circumstances left me with submitting my primary quite late, and so I wasn't complete until 10/30. I know a bunch of people who go to DUCOM and they love it there and I'm excited about the chance to join them!
Congrats! IS or OOS? Any connectins to the school? That was a really fast turnout.

Almost always unpredictable, except generally priority apps (high stat/URM/military/etc) will be reviewed early

I was complete mid-July for most schools and have not heard back from most...
Yeah I was complete mid-July for the majority of my schools also so we just have to wait and see. Hopefully you'll hear back soon.

This process is a complete mystery to me. I was complete late July/early August to 14 schools and I’ve received 2 R’s, 1 hold and silence from all others. FWIW I have a 99th percentile MCAT, 3.98 sgpa (3.45 cgpa due to poor start), solid ec’s, great letters etc.

I have an interview tomorrow anyone have any tips or suggestions
The day is split into 5 parts, effectively (for morning interviews at least):
1. An intro slideshow to brief about DUCOM’s history and statistics
2. Typed essay on an iPad in a similar format to CASPer OR interview with faculty member
3. Opposite of above
4. Lunch/curriculum overview
5. Tour with student

Interview depends heavily on who you have. Some faculty members are lax, others are stoic and want to gauge your reaction. Be yaself, fam, yaheard?

Does anyone know if pre-II holds are successful later on in the cycle? Got a hold yesterday and want to see if anyone has a link to stats or know of a general hold-to-II rate

Would also like to know! I was placed on a hold (pre-II) today. Complete 7/21.

I was placed on hold around this time last year. was the only notification I received all cycle from Drexel, no rejection at the end. some people get an interview after being on hold, but this percentage seems very low.

I am not sure if this was mentioned before but I was wondering if you know the difference between being "on hold" pre-II versus just radio silence? Thanks!

not exactly sure. but at least this must be true--

hold - your application was reviewed and they have decided not to offer you an interview at that time
silence - who knows if they even saw your application yet

Does anyone know how receptive they are to thank-you letters? Do we send them directly or to admissions? Thanks.

Already looked into it, you need to have a student ID assigned to you before you can apply via an online portal
Hmm I went to Drexel and have an student ID already :naughty:
Maybe they'll reuse the same one?

They might.
I ran into a major problem with my financial aid coming into Drexel. I technically have two ID numbers and everything was linked to the undergrad number (i didnt even ATTEND) and my financial aid got delayed for months

Oh my lord there goes my anxiety.

welp I’ll worry about this if I ever end up getting in

This was definitely said alot — im sorry if it was — but when is the next acceptance date? i was an end of october interview

was it specified on your interview date that you would be in the group that hears something this date?

Then mentioned the. dates and alluded to the fact that our day was early enough to hear the next release date. I dont rememebr if it was explicit but very much seemed to be the case.
