I have the same LM and and graduated from Drexel Undergrad, I'm a reapplicant in an SMP but I was put on hold in December and still haven't heard anything 🙁 I have technically been "on hold" since my first application in 2017 since they do silent R's, so I have a sinking feeling my alma mater just doesnt give a **** about me 🙁

That's what I did! They're very conducive and gave me a call to reschedule. If the dates are full, though, that's a different story

I interviewed here one week ago, and here's some generally reassuring stuff I was told (completely unprompted) by my interviewer:

1) There's still a lot of open spots in the class (apologies, this might be duh), and they actively make sure all interviewees regardless of interview date are not just interviewing for the waitlist.

2) There will be interviews in April. I don't know about IIs, but interview dates will also extend into April.

3) If you are holding an update letter for after an interview, or are currently in the drafting stages, make sure to send it before 2 weeks after your interview. Another potential duh, but I was told they will happily receive updates/LOI/whatever via email if the portal is glitchy.

@TheDataKing's incredibly lit spreadsheet here. Also at the information session, they dish out about 800 A's for ~1500 interviews, so more than 50% for sure. That's across every single interview month+waitlists as well, so keep that in mind

Don't worry about extra resources the first year. All of the exam questions come from the lecture notes/videos. Personally I like annotating FA, but would recommend doing it after winter break when you really start more of a "systems based learning." Anki is super useful if you make your own cards, ZAnki helps with class and early step prep but you have to comb through and suspend all the cards you don't need or else it can become a nightmare of learning stuff that you won't be tested on until second year.

Upperclassmen will have online resources (pdfs, links, etc. etc.) that are floating around and will be passed down by your big.


Essentials (that you need to get):
iPad/Tablet
Apple Pencil for quick note taking (unless you're a paper note taker)
OneNote/Notability app on iPad.
Shoes you don't mind dissecting in.
Scrubs x2 (there will be a sale in the fall if you want them cheap)
Dress clothes
reliable but inexpensive watch (last thing you want is body fluids on a nice watch)
ID holder.
Combination lock
1 standard sized 2 pewter cauldron
1 wand

Also quick note about BnB and Firecracker. They're really great in two situations:
1. Crunch time and you don't have time to watch all the lectures. They will narrow down exactly what you need to know and can help you memorize (MEMORIZE NOT LEARN) concepts so that you don't fail the upcoming exam. You will need to go back and read the lecture, because most people who use them for cramming say that they don't recall the material well after the exam.
2. If after the first 1 or 2 exams you realize your study methods aren't working, then BnB and Firecracker are good as an extra resource to help you conceptualize the material better.

So did you find that making your own flashcards wasn't enough info for step 1? I prefer to make my own flashcards, but I know most people worship the premade Step 1 decks...
