3.82/507. A friend had his II with less than 24hrs Turnaround. Mine was about 36 hrs. I'm sure another wave of II will be coming out this week.
I have lower stats and I already know I will have to wait 🙁 but good luck for your interview 🙂

Damn, thought I was special for being complete the same day. Guess they're doing everything in waves.

Im confused about the secondary. Does anybody need help with this? Are they simple yes or no questions when it comes to saying if we've ever lived or worked in medically underserved/economically disadvantaged communities? Cuz I've been giving stats about my neighborhood to back it up.

It said to explain/describe, so I think you’re on the right track.

Yes!! You should write about it in complete sentences as well so you’re fine!!

For the neighborhood description, I'm confused as to whether or not they want actual statistics?

And if they do want statistics, what kind of statistics do they want and where would I get them?

I doubt they want actual statistics. I just listed that I attended a Title 1 campus in my neighborhood growing up.

Guys how do we even answer these questions? I am at a loss of words. I don't know how I can elaborate on a "yes"

I just explained. So the first one: “ have you lived in an underserved area...” I explained why my area was underserved. Second one: “have you worked with underserved communities...” I explained where I worked and why they were underserved. And so on and so forth. The first one was definitely the most difficult for me but I just stated exactly how I felt that my area was underserved. And to be more precise I verified my statements by checking statistics but I didn’t include those in my prompt... if that all makes sense

I agree! y'all are overthinking it (classic premeds) lol

Are you from a dense urban area, rural area, low SES communities, outside of the country etc... then you are probably in an undeserved area.

Did you do any volunteering for a disadvantaged community (homeless shelters, targeted tutoring programs, clinics, community health centers etc)..then just write about that and what you learned from it.

The best thing you can do write a clear response and submit it ASAP. Time can be a bigger factor than an elaborate essay.

Hey guys,

I have a question regarding the SAT score they are asking in the secondary application. I do not recall how much I got as it was in 2012 and there is no documentation I kept about my score. I never thought that it will be asked in the future when I was in high school.

Was anyone of you in a similar situation? Please, advise what is the best option. Thank you!

Retrieve your SAT scores from collegeboard.com. My scores are years older than yours (lol without revealing my specific age) and I was able to retrieve them. I forgot my username and password info but just go through the options so they can send you a link to reset your login info, and hopefully you’ll be able to retrieve your scores with no issues.

Thank you so much my friend!

Is it possible to get an II without your CASPER results having come in yet? I recently took it, but I didn’t realize it takes 3 weeks for scores to come back

I am in the exact same situation. I called and they said they do not look at CASPer till AFTER interview. Meaning, in theory, you can get an II without CASPer results. But I don't know how true that is, b/c I feel like reviewers are sent all the 'completed' apps. Even tho they might not look at CASPer, you need CASPer to be considered 'complete'. That's my opinion tho, sorta conflicted.

it probably wont take 3 weeks. When I took it this past summer, score were sent in 1 week later

Howard just started sending the first secondaries out on Sept 4 or 5. You're good, at least for Howard. Not sure for other schools

Across the school-specific threads I follow, for any school following the normal timeline, it's not too late if your stats and ECs are good. Borderline or low stat applicants may have more trouble

Hi everyone, I'm an international applicant and never took SAT or ACT. Do you think it would negatively affect my application?

They'll understand you're international so you should be alright

Does anyone happen to know or have a rough idea of when the next wave of II’s will be sent out?

September 9th. I wasn’t expecting to hear so early because it said 4-6 weeks. The dates offered vary from early to late October and they interview 8-10 applicants per date so others should be hearing soon.
Did you have CASPer complete before you got the complete email?

Hey, those of you who received a complete email, is it the same as "your secondary has been received" or did you get a separate email? Thanks
