Ya dude...much unlike my UCLA interview that starts at 8:30... Oh well,,I hope the time differential between LA and the east coast will help me there (since 0830 at LA would be equivalent to 1130 in the east)Plus it was nice that it started late at 11am!
I felt very casual/conversational throughout. No tripping up or ethical questions.I’m interviewing here soon. To anyone who already interviewed, were the interviews casual/conversational or did they grill you or ask challenging questions to trip you up?
Can confirm, they asked about a teamwork scenario/what happened.I also read somewhere that your interviewers get to choose who they want to interview, so they actually might have things in common or interests in parts of your app. Also, I heard that they ALWAYS ask a question about a time you worked well/didnt work well as a team.
I was complete 7/29 and no complete email yet. Is this normal or should I call them?

Glad the interview went great! Did you stay with a host? I am planning to fly there the day before and leave the morning after, but the pamphlet they sent in the invitation says only one night's stay is permitted. I'm kinda broke after sending in secondaries (aren't we all....) and am trying to save some dough by avoiding hotels.
I also interviewed today and agree that everyone there was super friendly. Definitely my favorite school so far. My interviewer was asking me like a ton of questions, so it didn't feel that casual but still not terrible.Just had my interview today! Everyone was really friendly and the interview itself was super comfortable and conversational!
7/23 and no complete yet either
Don't be concerned. It takes a while.+1. Also concerned .
I also interviewed here but felt like my faculty interviewer sorta grilled me and asked a couple questions that caught me off guard, and I didn't give the best answer possible. Like not as conversational as my other interviews i've had so far. Did i do something wrong? Could it just have been my interviewer?Interviewed here last week. Was a very relaxed day. My interviews were conversational and there were not any crazy or unexpected questions. The "dreaded" fishbowl was actually one of the better parts of the day. I think we had a great group of interviewees and student interviewers so it was fun and not uncomfortable or awkward at all.
I submitted on 7/24 and still have not received a complete email. Anyone else in the same boat or should I reach out to admissions?
+1
Let us know if you do reach out!
@Mr_Kurtz It might be helpful to contact them, since I submitted a few days before you (7/21) and got the complete email a month ago on 8/7
Hi y'all! Has anyone here successfully sent an update to Hopkins? Was it via email? Thanks!
Not necessary but super helpful. If it won't hurt you $ wise do it, but don't fret if not. It helped me with "why Hopkins" etc come interview day. But the info is nothing you can't find elsewhere or from talking to students ultimatelyHow helpful/ necessary is the meet and greet here the night prior to the interview? I'm trying to set up a flight schedule and I'm having a hard time getting there the night prior
Mine were open, and that's correct!Great, thanks! Are the interviews here open file or closed? And it's one with a student and one faculty, right?
All open and both student and faculty are on the actual admissions committee so they both have a say.Great, thanks! Are the interviews here open file or closed? And it's one with a student and one faculty, right?
Why didn’t someone politely correct this person the first time it happened?Current student here: I heard a story about a student who came to the interview and said "John Hopkins" instead of "Johns" about 5 times. It's not a big deal but still doesn't look good. Decided to come here just to give ya'll a head's up... if you interview at a school, be sure you say their name correctly!
Have a good day and hope your interviews are going well 🙂
I don't think the interviewer actually thought it was a big deal, it happens. It was more of a funny story, 100% did not affect their spot! Why didn’t someone politely correct this person the first time it happened?

I don’t think I put the school name at all on this secondary. But also, the person must have been a star candidate if they made it thru despite writing
John Hopkins all over the place in the essays

PCLT is designed for students who are interested in primary care (Family Medicine, some Internal Medicine, some Pediatrics). It's existence helps students find mentors and resources, since you get less primary care exposure during 3rd year. For instance, we have no family medicine department (and thus no required family medicine rotation), which is unique and unlike most medical schools. PCLT allows you to get a rotation experience.Any current students know anything about the Primary Care Leadership Track? Its mentioned like super briefly online but not much else.
I see people mentioning here that there is a prereq section on the secondary. However, I submitted my secondary and uploaded my photo on 09/05 but never encountered any prereq section. Could someone please tell me which section are you talking about? Thank you!
