If you ball you get the call!!! Friends, I got the A this morning!! I was shaking with joy. I LOVED UCI!! Everything about this school is absolutely amazing; waiting to hear about my PRIME-LC application next month. Continuing to cross my fingers!!! Just a kid from the mud, look where I'm at now...shout out to the ladies who raised me--mama and gma!!! Love you!!

Hey congrats man! Super stoked for you! I am pretty sure we interviewed the same day. Hoping for some good news soon!
 
Does anyone know how many people (roughly) have gotten an acceptance so far?

(Hard question, I know).
 
Has anyone in the first interview day (who happens to be here) heard back from the admissions?

Also, has anyone been getting waitlisted notifications?

Thank you for taking the time to reading these btw; especially during these times of stress haha.

It doesn't look like as many as other schools have gotten acceptances so far here, I don't think you're out of the running at all

Thank you. Another hard question: would you say if you were a first day interview, and haven’t heard anything back yet, you’re most likely going to be waitlisted?

Although super difficult to do, I wouldn't focus on getting waitlisted until you're waitlisted. I know easy for me to say but I was thinking like you are a couple days ago so I get it 🙁

Anyone hear back that went to an early Sept. interview? Did they say decisions will come before Halloween?

I interviewed the first day - got a call two days ago!
 
Interviewed on the first day, and got my acceptance call this morning!!! Still pinching myself. For the first time in my life, I can finally honestly say that I'm going to become a doctor. What a trip... Can't wait to take the next step!

I think we were in a small group of people sitting in a booth talking about playing high school football/other sports right before our faculty interviews.

Or you are someone else entirely haha
 
For anyone who interviewed and stayed with a student, how soon before your interview did your host confirm with you? I am interviewing in four weeks and haven’t heard anything after filling out the student host form a few weeks ago.

Other schools I interviewed at I didn't get an email until a week or two before
 
Did anyone find out about the LEAD-ABC program and whether withdrawing or applying to this would affect our regular MD application? I called admissions to ask, but they simply told me to withdraw from this program if I am no longer interested.

Talked to admissions this morning, they said it wouldn't affect regular MD application. My understanding is that LEAD-ABC and MD are reviewed by two separate committees. Let them know through the portal if you're no longer interested so they can just mark it on your file.
