I mean, I don't disagree, but all socal schools are close to the beach. I wouldn't get into the water in sm if you paid me, but I can still get to the beach quickly from my house.

I think everyone is still waiting to hear back. I interviewed in early October and haven't heard anything.

Personally I'm not a fan of them, but it allows them to "more thoroughly" rank/evaluate the whole pool of interviewees before giving offers.

but even UCLA seems to be giving more As (even Geffens)/ communicating more than UCI. So I’m confused why it’s so silent. Maybe the UCI timeline is longer?

I really don’t think this to be the case! It seems like only the first few dates had any As given, and the school has a very long interview season with many more to go! It seems like they are slow to give them out in general. Don’t lose hope!

Idk if this is previously known info in the thread, but I called today and they only do status updates through portal inquiries.

On the portal it says... Activate your UCInetID *(Available in late November)
Therefore, we must hear back by December or else it will render activation of this ID useless, so I must be right.
